How Does Light Assembly Remove From Base of Light BA65ARLB

how do i get the lense off i have a blown bulb on one side ive tried pinching together afraid im gonna break

On either side of the light assemblies of the part # BA65ARLB there are black tabs that hold the lights to the base. Those need to be pulled out so that the assembly can then be pulled out.
I attached a picture that points out the tabs that have to be pulled out.
