2007 Isuzu N-Series

Installed on 2007 Isuzu NPR chassis with frame extensions for bumper brackets.
This hitch DOES fit. Actual hitch width is 33.75 inches so it fit perfectly between the bumper bracket extensions. Slid in Like buttah.
Hardware length allowed for avoiding a bolt head protruding from the frame and installing double shims from underside. Very helpful.
5.5 inch drop put receiver below the bumper. Thank you etrailer for pictured measurements.

Hitch was falling out of the box when delivered. But will do its purpose. Fast shipping

There are only so many ways to describe a trailer hitch.

by:

Hitch fit good on a 74 Ford super camper special. There we two rivets on the frame for a crossmember that I ground down and drilled out because they were exactly where I wanted the front mounting hole on the hitch to be located. Other than that pretty good.

by:

We put this hitch on my 1987 GMC 61/2' short box 4WD with a regular bumper with no problems and look real nice and real strong with good load ratings

It came all scuffed up and with a bent mounting arm...
How do you bend a class 4 hitch...??

by:

Have not put the hitch thru any hauling duties, it was easy to install, l completed the install by myself.

This was delivered extremely fast! Made it here in one piece! Can’t wait to install it. Another great products from Etrailer! Thank you guys again. Will be back soon!!

This makes my 4th Curt hitch purchased from etrailer. 5th overall and they have all performed flawless. I pull a trailer probably 5 out of every 7 days. Always have excellent customer service from etrailer and recommend them to anyone needing a hitch.

I purchased a used ambulance as a work vehicle for my company. Needed a hitch but not sure which one I would need because of the ambulance box. One phone call to etrailer with their friendly operator and a referral number to tech support and I had my answer. A couple of quick measurements and I had my hitch product number. Placed my order online on a Monday, hitch arrived on Wednesday. Drilled the required holes in my vehicle
and I was in business. Fantastic service! Between friends an family we have ordered at least 6 hitches and accessories over the last several years.

What are the measurements and demensions of this hitch? I understand that all of the Chevy GMC 1/2 and 3/4 ton pickup frames are the same between 1967 and 1972. My truck is a 1969 C/10 long bed with the coil spring suspension. Will this hitch bolt up onto my frame without having to modify either the frame or hitch?

Patrick B.

2/25/2014

You will most likely still need to drill holes for the bolts to pass through the frame and the hitch. So long as your truck has 34 inch frame spacing and a standard bumper, you will not need to modify the hitch. Check out the instruction link on the product page, it will show you what is required to install the hitch. You can compare that with your frame and get a pretty good idea of how it will all go together.

good piece,,,did excellent on shipping fast!!

by:
1970 ChevroletC/K Series Pickup

Shipping was very fast, customer service excellent, product looks excellent as far as welds...if it wasnt for the numerous scratches, scrapes, etc. would have given 5 stars.

by:

Hitch is beautiful, I give it 6 stars.
I
didn't expect to have to drill holes in the frame to attach it. (subtract 2, for extra work)

by:

Great product and good service.

by:
1987 ChevroletC/K Series Pickup

It’s perfect, you can barely see it, very beefy

by:
1964 ChevroletC/K Series Pickup

Have not used the trailer hitch, only installed as it was one of the early steps in the frame off restoration of my 1964 Chevy truck. It was a bit more work than the videos suggest. After ordering a second hitch that was to fit my truck, I still had to do substantial drilling. Not one hole really lined up. But it sure looks secure and substancial now! Look forward to having a bit more confidence in my hitch while towing.

by:

Really nice and easy to install. It does it’s job

by:

Too easy! etrailer made the purchase and shipping so easy and the install was a breeze!

by:

Talk to the guy about the Curt hitch that went bad and he was very rude, arrogant, and didn’t have any interest in listening to my explanation of what went wrong with the prior hitch.

  • Hitch that Fits 1977 Ford F-250 with Narrower Frame
Sounds like you have a cab and chassis model Ford F-250 which has frame dimensions of 34 inches measured from outside to outside which we have hitches for like the Curt # C14082 but there is drilling required to install this hitch as well as any other hitch that would fit your truck.

First we will need to determine which style F-Series Super Duty your 1990 truck is. For a Cab and Chassis model you will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082. For a Super Duty with Deep Drop rear bumper you will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511. And Finally for the Super Duty with standard step bumper the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122. All 3 of these will require drilling into your frame for a non-weld installation. For your 1989 GMC K1500 4WD Extended Cab with the 10" Drop bumper I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C15317 as it is designed to work with the 10" drop bumper on your truck, and has a 2400lb tongue weight rating and a 16000lb trailer weight rating making it a very heavy duty hitch. Since your 1998 Chevy Silverado 2500HD has a service bed on it currently that would indicate that I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a service body truck like yours are multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. The best option we are going to have for a hitch for your 1995 Ford F-450 Cab and Chassis is the Curt hitch part # C14082 that is designed to fit 34 inch wide frames. This hitch requires some drilling so it would also require a bit of modification to get it to fit your vehicle. You will need to first verify that your hitch frame rails are 34 inches apart measured from the outside. The measurement from the top of the mounting bracket down to the top of the receiver tube measures 5 inches....

As we have not had a 1973 Ford F-100 in our shop to test fit the available receivers I can only give you the measurements from one of our receivers so that you can see where it will sit on your truck. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082 is 5" from the top of the bolt mounting flange to the top of the receiver tube. Also this will only fit frames that are 34" wide, that is from outside frame rail to outside frame rail.

Since nobody makes a higher class hitch for the 1998 Mercury Mystique the only option is a universal weld-on hitch. I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame # 41990-07. This is a Class V hitch with a 2" receiver and 7" tall brackets. We recommend taking this to a certified welder for installation. It is also worth noting that upgrading the hitch capacity does not increase the towing capacity of your vehicle.
