I have 10inch from the end of the frame to the shackle brackets on my 87 chevy longbed. What will fit?

The side brackets of the Curt hitch part # C14082 are 9-3/4 inches long so you'd have the clearance needed to fit this on your frame since you have 10 available inches.

I can say that Curt doesn't consider the hitch a fit, but if you look at the provided photo, you can see the mounting hole spacing on the hitch and compare it to the frame member of your truck.
