Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this etrailer adjustable ball mount with the two ball channel mount for a two inch hitch receiver, offers a 5-1/2 inch maximum drop and a 5-1/2 inch maximum rise and a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this heavy duty dual ball mount will provide everything you need to embark on your towing journey with confidence. Basically, the shank portion right here is what'll slide into your two inch hitch receiver. And they do include this 5/8 inch diameter pin and clip, which is designed to fit tightly into the hitch pinhole to minimize any rattle when you attach this to your hitch receiver. You can see it's a channel style mount, so it allows an adjustable height to let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle.
Basically, you can just take out your pins and clips, slide this ball mount up or down along the shank and then secure it in place with the included pins and clips. It does adjust in 1-1/2 inch increments, 1-1/2 inches, that's the distance between the adjustment holes here up and down. And the interior channel width that this fits into is 1-3/8 inches. Now, if you notice it's a dual ball mount, so it uses two different size hitch balls, provides the connection point for your trailer's coupler, so it'll let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes, offers you a two inch diameter ball, or if you flip it over, a 2-5/16 diameter ball. To switch the ball, it's pretty easy to do.
All you have to do is remove these clips right here, slide out your pins. And once they're both out, you can see that the two dual ball channel mount will slide out and then you're ready to go. And as we mentioned, when you go to put this in, you can set it all the way up here. You can go all the way down to the very bottom. As we mentioned, it gets you a maximum drop of about 5-1/2 inches.
Now, you can also flip this over and use it in the rise position like that and then if you go up the highest, it's about a 5-1/2 inch rise. So it gives you a wide range of adjustments. So if we go to put our pins back in here, once you get your pins through there, take your clips and push those on to secure them. And now you're all ready to go and tow. Now, we mentioned this ball offer a maximum in this position of a 5-1/2 inch drop if we drop that all the way to the lower holes.
If we flip this over, put it in the maximum rise, it's 5-1/2 inches. And those measurements are measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. Same way if we flip it over, top of the shank, top of the ball platform. Now, this is a sturdy steel construction, has rust-resistant finishes. If you notice the mount here is a matte black powder coat with an e-coat or a black powder coat over an e-coat on the ball mount. The hitch balls you can see they're nice black nickel-plated hitch balls. And also if you notice the hitch pin and clip they give you has a black nickel to match and the two pins for the ball mount are also black nickel finished to match. Gives it a very nice look. Application, fits a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver. Gross towing weight capacity on this, now it depends on the ball size you use and it's stamped on the top of the ball. So if you use the two inch ball, it's a 7,500 pound gross towing weight capacity with a tongue weight capacity of 750 pounds. If you flip it over and use the larger 2-5/16 diameter ball, gives you a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity and a tongue weight of 1,000 pounds. Last thing I wanna do is just give you the ball mount length and the ball mount length is always measured from the center of the hitch pinhole to the center of the ball. So if we go ahead and take our ruler and if we go from the center to the center of the hitch pinhole, center of the ball hole, nine inches. But that's gonna do it for the review on this etrailer adjustable ball mount with the two ball channel mount for your two inch hitch receiver.

Tow up to 7,500 lbs with the 2" ball or 10,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball. This was a great deal and fits great on my truck. I can’t wait to use it in the near future.
In the last week, I've towed my 16' enclosed trailer, 24' Tri-Toon, 18' car hauler, and 12' utility trailer with this etrailer adjustable ball mount. Being able to switch between 2" and 2-5/16" and adjust heights quickly has been huge! Made my life easier when trying to move between houses and still get my family out on the water during a busy week.
