Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Thanks.

1994 GMC C/K Series Pickup

While I haven't actually used the hitch yet it was easy as it could be to install. Before buying from etrailer.com I had bought a hitch from a major auto parts store online. What I got was a hitch that was adjustable to fit many different vehicles. The hitch was bolted together on all sides. If this is what you have to get to put a hitch on your vehicle that's fine but I have a common pickup truck and that hitch did not line up with the mounting holes in the frame. So I returned it. I trust the hitch I got from etrailer.com because it's welded together and fit my truck well.

Hitch shipped quick. Arrived in great shape.
Installed
it myself in less than an hour. Previous truck owner had dented, and bent, the bumper but the hitch went on without much of a hitch.
Works perfectly.

1993 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Well as always the freight was expensive. It got here in good time and in between the rainy weather, I used a floor jack to put it in position and bolted it down. It fit like a tight skirt on a beautiful women. Had to let the spare tire down to get at the nuts, but once it was in place it was all over but the impact wrench. Took about 16 minutes.

This hitch bolted right onto my 98 K1500/Silverado Z71Chevrolet truck. It fits perfectly. Hitch is high quality and will likely outlast my rusting truck. etrailer directions were easy to follow and shipping was quick. Very satisfied.

On 75033 the receiver is attached to the rear part of the cross member. On 75099 it is welded below the cross member so that the cross member will not be...

  • What is the Difference Between the Trailer Hitches for a 1998 Chevy C/K and 1995 Chevy Suburban
The Draw-Tite trailer hitch, # 75033, will fit the 1998 Chevy C/K. The Draw-Tite trailer hitch, # 75037, will fit the 1995 Chevy Suburban. But they are not interchangeable. The hitches are designed to fit the construction and shape of specific vehicles, so these two hitches have unique designs and require specific mounting points on the vehicles they were designed for. They do share some similarities. Both are Class III hitches with 500 pounds of tongue weight capacity and 5,000 pounds...

The main difference between Draw-Tite trailer hitches # 75033 and # 75099 is the placement of the receiver tube on the cross member.
