Always great products from Curt. It took longer to wire the trailer lights than it did to install the hitch!

by:

I'm very happy with this purchase. I use the hitch for my bike rack. I have not towed with it yet. The installation took about 45 minutes and I recommend having a car jack or second set of hands to lift the hitch into position.

Great product and price. As per their website, this fits perfectly with my 2017 Nissan Rogue. It only took the guy at the garage 30 minutes to install. Looks great! Thanks.

2015 Nissan Rogue

Love the hitch but it was a little painful to install.
It's not eTrailer's fault. When bolting up the trailer one of the bolts
would not line up. The holeI was off by 1/32 of an inch. No matter how you
arranged the five bolts it would always be one on the four corners of the
hitch that would not line up properly. After 2 hours I finally got it
installed. Added a Thule Trailways 959 Bike Rack to the mix and I love it
even more! Next is to install the wire harness for a trailer. FYI you can
reinstall the 2 panels you take off for installation. The passenger side
goes on just fine and you have to trim off small section to get the drivers
side panel back on. Just trial fit it, mark it, cut, and reinstall. Helps
to keep the dirt out too.

Awesome and thank you so much!

Here
is my review of the trailer hitch:

Needed a hitch for my 'new to me' 2015 NISSAN Rogue. Fairly easy self-install using wood blocks to support hitch weight. Hardest part was plastic trim fastener plugs near the rear axle because it's hard to see when you are on the ground. Took 2 hours which included a 1 hour trip to Lowes because I realized I didn't have the right size sockets. D'oh! The hitch is rock solid and perfect for my RockyMounts Backstage. My 3rd time purchasing from etrailer - great install & research videos. Bonus was the price went down $xx.xx three weeks after I ordered it. I called and they refunded the difference. That's why I choose etrailer.com -Wow!

by:

Absolutely amazed and pleased with etrailer! In the world where the past 20 + years customer service Was sacrificed on the altar of competing for the big box brick or Online cheapest product. etrailer has great pricing and products but more importantly the product knowledge, comparison listing, specific detail videos and photos, timely shipping and detailed instructions specific to the vehicle shows to great lengths and effort “they chose” to become the best at what they do. The moral of the story “you don’t have to cancel customer service and excellence to bring pricing and availability to the client”... meaning everybody else is just lazy!.
Thank you!
2018 Nissan Rogue: everything went perfectly as directed including the Curt harness. I did choose my own modification as pictured : pic: I removed the driver side rear trim as instructed. But I trimmed the plastic, cutting a straight line to the back and along edge so It now clears the hitch bracket, and easily reinstalled it.

Incredible savings!!! I bought this hitch last year- self installed-Thank you!!!!!

My friends paid up to 400% more for their hitch and installation.

Very easy to do with video instructions from etrailer.com. I am 47 chubby guy and installed by myself.

Freaking awesome. I use it every weekend for cycling rides, landscape trailer.

Perfect for my Nissan Rouge.

I am glad I made this purchase- highly recommend. Be not afraid.........

Fast shipping, easy installation, and huge savings!!! (4 road bikes)

Nissan

This order came in promptly and fit the vehicle attach points. The hitch is solid built and appears to have a good paint job. It took me about 30 minutes to install. The manufacturer's instructions specified 86 ft-lbs of torque on the bolts which was hard to get with my torque wrench which has a 19 inch handle (not enough length for me). There were two bolts on each side vs four on the Nissan factory hitch (which is offered only as an inch and a quarter receiver size. This made me a little nervous about the capacity of the hitch since the bolts were the same diameter on the Curtis hitch but half as many. The side mounting plates on the Nissan hitch were not present on the Curtis which, by design take a lot of the torsional load in a braking situation. The photos show the Nissan hitch which you can compare to the Curtis product photo to see the difference. I am going to use this hitch but only plan to have light loads on it so expect it will be strong enough for that.

2011 Nissan Rogue

The entire process of selecting, acquiring, and installing this trailer hitch and electrical connection was one of the best I've every experienced. The website and detailed installation videos were spot-on, even down to identifying where the job would get "a little tough" and how to prepare for it. Total hitch and electrical installation time was 2-1/2 hrs, including having to run a battery supply "+" wire all the way up to the engine compartment. Etrailer.com selection,, installation instructions, support, and follow up was outstanding! Exceptional experience all the way around and thank you - you made it affordable and easy!

2016 Nissan Rogue

As a recent arrival to the US I discovered tow hitches are not at all the same as they are in the UK! The etrailer website made it really easy to find what I needed for my Nissan Rogue and it arrived by courier in just a couple of days. The hitch receiver and electrical hook up were straight forward to fit to the car. I didn't need to drop the exhaust as indicated in the instructions as it can be raised into position on the driver's side and held in place by the 3 partially-fitted bolts before raising the passenger side to do the same and then tightening all 5 bolts. The instructions also suggest removing the plastic covers to the rear of the wheels and not refitting then but since they are there to protect the underside of the vehicle, I put them back. The drivers side cover does need to be modified though as per my pictures. All in all a much easier job than I was anticipating and a good sturdy set of products. Very happy with this purchase.

Highly satisfied!!!!!
etrailer is the
best!!! I had a great experience from the very beginning, I had a question and Mike L answered it clearly, that showed me etrailer really cares. I ordered the hitch for my Nissan Rogue 2013 , it came as scheduled, it fitted perfectly, no problem at all!!! It took about 15 minutes to mount, please see pictures attached, I highly recommend etrailer, they really know their job!!
Thanks so much!!

2016 Nissan Rogue

Great experience with etrailer. Best price I found on a hitch also. Delivered fast and though box had a few holes the hitch was intact and bolts were well packaged and taped securely. Decided to install myself after watching their video - no problem at all. Video was spot on and everything went pretty smoothly, the hardest part for a novice was removing the appearance panels with the little plastic clips. I attempted install without lowering exhaust as instructed and it worked out fine with a simple ratchet extension; since I was alone I used a few boards stacked up ( and screwed together for safety) to rest the hitch on, then simply tipped up one side at a time to get the bolts started. Took me about an hour overall, but would be less with right angle power ratchet as seen in video. Thanks etrailer!

Great no issues

by:

I needed a hitch on my 2017 Nissan Rogue to pull a small trailer and utilize a bike carrier I already own. I priced 3 different places for a hitch install prior to my order. I did a little research and saw how easy it was to do the install myself. You can do the math, but I saved 68%.

I placed my order July 1st. It was in my doorstep July 3rd. I installed the hitch in about 30 minutes. I used my .410 bore brush and some WD40 to clean the threads on the frame of the vehicle.

The holes lined up and the hitch fit perfectly. I’m not a mechanical guy. If I can do it, so can you. I highly recommend this hitch and etrailer.

by:

This was delivered fast and was easy to install by myself in about 35 minutes. I did not need to loosen the exhaust system and used a tire jack to hold up one side while bolted the other side in place. Great hitch.

by:

This was my second purchase from the trailer for a Curt hitch. The first one I bought had a smaller receiver and this one has a 2” they both fit perfect and even the old one is still great. I went back to etrailer for this 2nd one because I trust them and they ship really fast.

by:

Package arrived quickly and with all parts intact and great instructions. Secure packaging as well. The hitch is very strong and secure. Barely noticeable under the SUV. Perfect for Bike Rack!

by:

(2012 Rogue) After about 45 minutes of prep work the hitch was mounted in place in about 15 minutes (including time to torque all 5 bolts). With an extra set of hands there was no need to drop the exhaust - easy to get around the tailpipe. Also, no issues with alignment of holes.

by:

Perfect fit!

by:

I use it exclusively for hauling a bike rack and for a trailer rack for carrying a cooler. Definitely has done a great job and was easy to install.

by:

Video instruction On your web site was very

by:

Install was clean. Needed some help from my wife just to hold it in place while everything got torqued down. Finish seems to be holding up well also we are in the Midwest so snow water stuff on the roads to keep the ice off are constant things to deal with but everything appears to be in good condition. Have hauled a trailer with my Nissan rogue several times and have had no issues. This also save me a fair amount of coin by not taking it somewhere and having it done professionally. The amount of work needed and the basic tools make it accessible for anyone to install as long as they have some mechanical knowledge and are physically able to get under the vehicle for the work. Great product.

2018 Nissan Rogue

The box was ripped everywhere. The hitch was dented and scratched everywhere. Now I'm going to have to go buy paint to touch up all the spots to prevent rust. If I wanted a damaged hitch I would have bought a used one online. I have no time to return and wait for a replacement, which will probably be damaged as well, or wait for a refund. Wanted to upload all the photos, but if course will only allow one and the upload is taking forever. I guess I should have went to [another store] and just paid the extra 10 bucks, and picked one up in person.

  • Class III Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver for Nissan Rogue
It is rare, but sometimes the hitches are shipped with some missed weld spatter that should have been cleared. Yes, you can simply file that off of your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13204 and be just fine. Some Class I hitches may have a weld stop in the tube to prevent the use accessories that are only intended for higher rated hitches. Your hitch is rated at Class III so that is not the situation, you have have weld splatter and not an intended weld stop.

A Class I trailer hitch is limited to carrying a maximum of two bikes so you will not be able to use your Thule 4-bike rack with the hitch that is currently on your 2018 Nissan Rogue; you will need a new trailer hitch. The best trailer hitch for your '18 Rogue is the Curt # C13204 because it offers the best bumper clearance among the available hitches with a 2" receiver. • Exhaust Hanger on 2011 Nissan Rogue Interferes with Trailer Hitch Installation
You should be able to bend the exhaust hanger a little bit to allow the hitch to fit easily on the vehicle. The installation instructions state that lower the exhaust will make installation easier. If you remove the exhaust from the rubber hanger, using a strap of some kind to support the exhaust some, put the hitch in place and then put the exhaust back up on the hanger it might not interfere at all. If it still does then bending the hanger some is perfectly fine and will not hurt anything....

  • Fit of Hollywood Racks # HR200 Trail Rider with Curt Class III Hitch # C13204 on 2012 Nissan Rogue
The Curt Class III hitch, part # C13204 and the Prorack # PR8062400 would be compatible with each other. Both would work great on your 2012 Rogue. When installed, the hitch pin hole would be recessed under the vehicle by about 5 inches. The shank on the bike rack measures 12-1/2 inches between the hitch pin hole and the closest portion of the rack. This would offer plenty of clearance. I've linked you to an install video, a product video and an FAQ article that you might find helpful.

Although a hitch like the Curt # C13204 has a maximum tongue weight of 525 lbs you are limited by the 100 lb tongue weight of your vehicle. Trying to carry your scooter and its carrier could result in various problems since you would be 200 lbs over the capacity of your 2015 Nissan Rogue SL.
