Curt Hitch Receiver for Handicap Mobility Scooter on a 2016 Nissan Rogue
Question:
I have a Nissan Rogue and need to carry a steel carrier with fold down ramp and my scooter. Do I need a class 3 or 4 hitch? Also, my son-in-law will be installing it with me so how difficult is it to install? Im not really good with tools.

I would be happy to help you and I have a great hitch receiver for you. It is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13204. I recommend getting a class III hitch with the highest tongue rating possible for your carrier and scooter and this one is it. You will want to check with your vehicle's owners manual or the inside door sticker to see what your Nissan Rogue's maximum tongue weight is. The maximum tongue weight of the Curt hitch receiver is 525 lbs. This receiver has a 6/10 on difficulty of install with a time recommendation of 1 hour for shop labor. I have attached a video that shows the installation process and linked the instructions as well.
