Exhaust Hanger on 2011 Nissan Rogue Interferes with Trailer Hitch Installation
Question:
I am trying to install my Curt hitch on a 2011 Nissan Rogue SV. On the driver side, I can not get it in the correct holes because the silver bolt from the exhaust is right in the spot where the hitch is supposed to go so I can not move it in correctly. Is there a way to push back the exhaust bolt or move the male end coming out to the other side? I did double checked all the bolts holes and I did make sure I am using the correct holes and everything else lines up.

You should be able to bend the exhaust hanger a little bit to allow the hitch to fit easily on the vehicle. The installation instructions state that lower the exhaust will make installation easier. If you remove the exhaust from the rubber hanger, using a strap of some kind to support the exhaust some, put the hitch in place and then put the exhaust back up on the hanger it might not interfere at all.
If it still does then bending the hanger some is perfectly fine and will not hurt anything. I have included a link to a video that shows the typical method of lowering exhaust. I have also linked an FAQ article that, in part, shows you how to bend a hanger.
