Maximum Tongue Weight Capacity for 2018 Nissan Rogue

Question:

I see other post about this kind of set up and have been told by Harmar that they have a documents from nissan where their model al160 at 74 lbs, optional swing away arm at 40 lbs and my go go scooter at 84 lbs is ok on a nissan rogue. But my owners manual says max tongue weight is 110 lbs. when towing a trailer. Im wondering if a greater tw is ok if not towing a trailer?

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for a 2018 Nissan Rogue and it does state that the "Maximum Tongue Load" is 110 lbs, like you mentioned. Even if you are not towing a trailer this would apply and you do need to go by the lowest-rated capacity when towing or using accessories.

So if you were to install the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13204 on your 2018 Rogue, which has a 525 lb tongue weight capacity you would have to abide by the 110 lb capacity of your vehicle. The tongue weight capacity of your scooter, scooter carrier and swing-away arm would be close to 200 lbs which is far more than your vehicle is rated to handle.
