DOES THIS FIT THE 2009 TOYOTA TACOMA AND WHAT TOW AND TONGUE CAPACITY IS THE DrawTite 75236 RATED FOR?

Yes the DrawTite Hitch, # 75236, will fit the 2009 Toyota Tacoma pickup except for the X-runner model. This hitch has a weight carrying capacity of 5000 pounds maximum and 500 pounds tongue weight. If you have a weight distribution system on your vehicle then the capacity is 5500 pounds loaded trailer weight and 550 pounds tongue weight. Even though the hitch is rated for these capacities you are limited by the lowest rated component, whether it is the vehicle, hitch, drawbar or ball. You can find your vehicle tow rating in the owners manual.
