After one year of having the trailer bumper on the back of our horse trailer, I can attest to the fact that this is an excellent product. I will admit our mistake that we ended up having to drill different holes in the rubber bumper as the pre-drilled ones did not actually line up with our holes on our horse trailer, and it all worked out in the end. After one year of weekly use, the bumper is still in new condition and keeping the horses safe as they back out.

I welded studs on the rear bumper of trailer, mounted the rubber bumper as a deterrent from the horses hitting their cannon bones on the steel. The rubber was solid at first but over time it has broken down some with the horses stepping on it, it is however doing the job that is expected of it.

The bumper has been on the back of my horse trailer for nearly a year and functions great. I did have to modify it by drilling new holes for the existing bolts but that did not cause any problems.

- Will Round Rubber Trailer Bumper Fit Trailer With 12 Inches Between Mounting HolesI can understand not wanting to drill holes in the bumper, but the Pre-Drilled Round Rubber Trailer Bumper - 96" Long x 2-1/16" Wide # D4-96 measures 11 inches on center between the bolt holes, there isn't anything that can be done that wouldn't require you to drill new holes in this bumper to match your 12 inch on center measurement.

If it has more mounting holes that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. It would just overhang a bit. Or you could trim it down.

After a year on the horse trailer, I am happy to say we are pleased with this product. We go for at least one ride a week during the winter months and two rides a week during the summer months, so the trailer is well used, which means the bumper is well used and still looks new!
