Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the steel weld-on hinge. This is going to be a three and five 16th inch long hinge. And when we measured just the body here, if we take into account the greaser, it's about four and a quarter of an inch overall length, we do have this triangular shaped edge here. That's going to provide those flat surfaces for us to weld in place. So if we include that point, our overall thickness is about three quarters of an inch.
If we rotate it, I said that that's not included. Our thickness is about five eighths of an inch. Now, this hinge is going to provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. And this can be used for trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes, machinery doors, and other applications. But because it is a weld-on installation, you are going to be limited to metal surfaces, but because that weld-on design is going to ensure a nice stronghold, it is going to be great for your heavy duty permanent applications.
So a very sturdy steel construction here that's going to be very durable for you. Our pin is a five 16th inch diameter or about eight millimeter diameter pin. And our bushing is a corrosion resistant brass construction. So it's going to hold up really well for us and ensure that our hinge is going to operate properly. Of course, we also do have this brass grease fitting here.
That's going to make very easy to lubricate our hinge, just hook up our grease gun and give it a little squirt. And that is going to put grease throughout our pin. Make sure that it's going to move and function properly. Not going to get bound up or have friction. So a really nice option here.

I waited for a while but it was worth the wait getting exactly what I ordered. They will be better than the original hinges that was on the broken trailer box lid.
