Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Aluminum Weld-On Hinge. This hinge is gonna provide a nice support along the length of your metal door or gate. It can work for your trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes and machinery doors. This is right at just shy of 4 inches. If we're not including that grease zerk, we're at approximately 3 and 15/16 of an inch and our overall length, if we do include that grease zerk, it takes us up to about 4 and a quarter of an inch long.
Our width is gonna be determined by how we measure it. You can see this does have this kind of a point here on the one side. That's going to allow us to have those straight edges to weld this in place. So if we include that point, we're gonna be looking at about 3 quarters of an inch thick. If we rotate it, so that we're not including that point, we're at approximately 5/8 of an inch thick.
So this is going to be welded on to your metal surface and that weld on installation is gonna ensure a nice strong hold. So it's gonna be great for your heavy duty permanent applications. This does have a durable aluminum construction. So it's gonna be very corrosion resistant. You can see our pin, that this is gonna pivot on, is right at 3/8 of an inch thick or about 9 and a half millimeters.
And then we also have this stainless steel bushing here, that's going to allow for a nice, smooth action pivoting of our hinge. We also have that grease zerk there, so it's gonna be very easy to just hook your grease gun up to pump a little grease in there to keep everything nice and lubricated. So you're not gonna have to worry about it binding up or anything like that. So if you are looking for a, just shy of 4 inch aluminum weld-on hinge, this is gonna do a great job for you. These are really nice hinges. Very sturdy and heavy. I did have issues with the shipping of these where the shipping packaging was not durable enough for parts not to fall out. Etrailer did take care of the shipping problem, and got me replacements.

I have found ETRAILER.COM to be an excellent company to deal with. I ordered a hinge that was shown to have a delayed delivery and the contacted me to see if I was interested in something similar with faster delivery, though I declined. The hinge I ordered came in with in the expected time span and is exactly what I wanted. Unlike a local company that assured me they had the part I wanted and after an hour drive, they only had something close. the customer is not always right, but good customer service is really important and these guys knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned.
