Carry generators, coolers, and other bulky gear behind your RV with this bumper-mounted cargo carrier. You don't need a hitch to install it, you can expand it to carry more gear, and you can fold up if you need a little extra space for parking.

Note:
No matter how big your RV is you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).
Most RVs don't have hitches installed, so if you want to use a cargo carrier, you'd have to install a hitch receiver. However, this cargo carrier mounts on your RV's bumper, so you don't need a hitch to carry your gear. It's also designed to provide better load distribution across your bumper than a hitch-mounted carrier.
When the carrier is not being used, you can fold it up against the back of your RV. This is convenient if you need a little extra space at the campsite, if you're travelling but not carrying any gear at the time, or if you're parking close to a fence, a shed, or a garage. To fold the basket up, just remove the snapper pin from each arm assembly, fold the rack up toward your vehicle, then reinsert the pins through the holes in the top of the mounting brackets.
The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.
If you outgrow the carrier later on, you can add extensions to increase its width. A single 24" extension will make the carrier 64" wide, or you can add 2 extensions to make the carrier 84" wide. To install the extension, place the mounting brackets an additional 24" or 48" apart on the bumper, unbolt the junction between the left and right side of the basket, and bolt the extension between them.

Easy to install also. I did modify the cargo rack a little to make it work for me. I have no plans on ever folding it, and I wanted the tool box to fit closer to the trailer wall, so I moved the cargo basket over the bumper mount/hinge and secured with new holes.
Solid built and easy to install. One issue I had was due to the curvature of the back of my trailer just above the bumper, I was not able to stow the rack in the vertical position without notching the rack in two places at the pin insertion points. A slightly longer tab at the pin insertion point would elevate this. Other than that I'm super happy with the rack. Also figured out a way to attach the spare tire to it.
Excellent piece of equipment. I carry two 5000w generators on it & have travelled over 3000 miles around the U.S.. Carrier is still like new except for a little rust from traveling through snow & salt up north.
I always check to make sure bolts are tight, but no issues .
Kate from etrailer is a fantastic rep of the company & highly recommend getting in touch directly with her, rely on what she tells you , she speaks the truth.
I love this company & Kate for being such an asset.
This carrier is well made and according to my husband, very easy to install. It fits and looks great on our 2006 fifth wheel camper. We can't wait to go camping and use it to haul the generator. Will update the review and send pictures in June.
We are delighted with the cargo carrier and have recommended it to other trailer friends.
The cargo carrier was easy to assemble. It is very study. The two point connection to the RV bumper is far superior to the single receiver mount as far as movement when traveling goes.
Installed fairly easy, I already had installed the bumper struts a few years back so now I have another set I dont need. There should be an option to purchase the struts if you need them that way you could lower the price. I had to purchase some 1/8 inch metal to put between the back side of the bumper bracket and the bumber, My jayco has a 4" bumper and the brackets had a gap the needed to be filled. All in all Im happy with the quality and size option. (Not to big and not to small) Im using for a 4000w invertor/gen so there will be many tire down points
ETrailer sell a great product at a reasonable price! I could have Build a bumper mount for my genny but would cost Approximately the same but Sourcing material and running around drives up the cost of everything! So all and all the 24"× 40" bumper mount cargo carrier is Rite by Me! Kit comes with bumper supports to Beef up rear bumper that should be added to both Bumper and Frame. My shipment was received early than expected and had a few end caps (1 1/4"plastic) that were Damaged so I Email ETrailer and within 5 days I had New parts ! Customer Service Is OUTSTANDING!
Thank You Paula,George,Carol YOUR THE BEST!!!
I purchased this to transport a modular fence set that we use at campsites. Unfortunately, this carrier isn't the best suited carrier for this task, however, I understood that going in, and it is the best carrier I could find that most closely matched most of my needs/wants. I am not basing my review rating solely on how it works for what I need it for though. Overall, the carrier itself is very nice. It is heavy duty and is very stable. In this light, it is 5 stars. But I do have a few other thoughts... 1. It's nice that it can raise or lower, however, this is the carriers weakest point. Because of this pivot point, there is slight up and down movement. 2. Despite the slight movement at the pivot point, the carrier is VERY stable! Other than this little bit of movement, it will not budge! Trying to shake the carrier actually moves the entire camper. 3. Part of this carriers stability is due to the fact that it attaches to the bumper at multiple points, rather than a single point like hitch receivers. 4. Since it attaches at multiple points, this also spreads the weight out along the bumper better than at a single point. 5. The slotted floor is both, a win/lose. The slots will not retain water and lends a hand to a lighter overall weight, however, it also makes stacking thin items like the fence I am using it for difficult to stack and requires me to use something else such as wood or rubber mats to make the surface flat and easier to use. 6. It was easy to assemble and install, despite the fact that it did not come with any sort of instructions. 7. I did not need the brackets that came with the carrier since I had already installed a set of these years ago. 8. And finally, price. This items is quite expensive, even for what it is in my opinion. I get that everything is getting more expensive now though, and this was the best option I could find for my needs. However, I do wish the brackets were a separate item and not included, and I believe this would have cut the costs of this item and saved me a bit of money. Now though I have a second set of brackets that I do not need, but I had to pay for... A nice feature about buying this carrier also is that it is easy to extend the length if so desired, although, the extensions are quite speedy too... Overall, if you need a carrier, this is a very nice option and I would definitely recommend it (especially if you haven't already reinforced your bumper with a set of these brackets). As for my rating, I knocked off 1 star due to the price, the lack of instructions, and the fact that I was forced to pay (more) for additional brackets that I didn't need and weren't a necesary part for the actual carrier.
Added this cargo carrier to transport a generator. Works great. Holds the generator plus a couple gas cans.
Very well built and functional. Installation is challenging if your rear bumper is tucked under the back of the trailer. If tucked under modifications are required and it will not rotate up to a stowed position. The back wall and carrier basket interfere with each other. Otherwise carries extra gear just fine.
This cargo carrier is great. It fit great and clears my rear mounted spare tire when folded up. My generator fits great on it and travels well.
This carrier is decent but with a less than 100# generator it has bent slightly and even though it is tight and installed per instructions it has twisted the bumper. It really needs to be attached to the frame. I would not haul any where near 500# on it.
Very nicely made product. Had a small issue with install, directions said place bumper brackets 27 in apart, but it was more like 18 in apart actually. Easy fix.
Also, I can’t stand the unit straight up, because it hits the back of the trailer. It would be helpful if there was a pin hole in the rear rack. I made my own hole and it seems fine.
Love our rear cargo carrie, it went 15,000 miles to Alaska and back carrying our 4000 watt inverter, really rough roads and never moved!
Very nice, solid and strong rack. Pleased that it came with bumper reinforcements. Packaging could be better, though. Rack was scratched up but easily touched up with paint. Hardware bag was torn open so nuts, bolts and washers were loose in the box. Fortunately the box was intact and all the hardware was present. Better packaging for this heavy item should be accomplished.

Oh my, we do want it to arrive undamaged. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.
4 stars as the 2 drills that were supplied were worthless, I had to buy better quality to get through Winnebago steel as it comes with additional bumper support brackets that holes must be drilled. Make sure you have a descent drill!
Top of the line very easy to instal very good instructions I am very happy with this product
It was easy to put together and appears to be very sturdy. Unfortunately, we haven't actually used it yet but plan to in the next month or so.
Well built unit. Excellent service and follow up. Thanks

Easy to install. Excellent addition to our 5th wheel
Great piece of equipment to add to my camper. Well built and easy to install.
This is the 2nd one I bought and like the first one the plastic plugs fell out and will not stay in and the paint on these could be alot better. Its pretty sad when you pay 500 for one and it puts rust all over your bumper because the caps will not stay in and there is no paint on the inside of the square tubing. They really need to be dipped instead of being sprayed.
This product was heavier built than I expected. I am very happy with my purchase and expect it to last a long time. Assembly was extremely easy.
This is very easy to assemble. Took about 20 minutes total using a 13mm and a 17mm socket and wrench. Built very strong and easy to use. I assembled the basket first, than the arms to the bracket. Place the brackets on the bumper to get placement and screw the basket to the arms. Once arms are on than use bolts to secure brackets to bumper to complete the install.
