No matter how big your RV is you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).
Most RVs don't have hitches installed, so if you want to use a cargo carrier, you'd have to install a hitch receiver. However, this cargo carrier mounts on your RV's bumper, so you don't need a hitch to carry your gear. It's also designed to provide better load distribution across your bumper than a hitch-mounted carrier.
When the carrier is not being used, you can fold it up against the back of your RV. This is convenient if you need a little extra space at the campsite, if you're travelling but not carrying any gear at the time, or if you're parking close to a fence, a shed, or a garage. To fold the basket up, just remove the snapper pin from each arm assembly, fold the rack up toward your vehicle, then reinsert the pins through the holes in the top of the mounting brackets.
The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.

Towed it all the from AK to D.C. on the back of our camper loaded with a yeti 110 loaded with drinks, 10 gallons of extra fuel, and inverter generator. Used a little stronger bumper support than what comes with it due to the long trip but is one of the best purchases we have made.
When I received this rack I originally mounted it on the trailer with the full width (all three pieces). I haven’t figured out a better way to carry my spare tire for the trailer and the rack and tire carrier conflict with each other for mounting purposes. I decided to remove the center section of the rack which makes the rack 61-1/2” wide and allows keeping the spare tire carrier mounted. The picture shows the current configuration. I am able to carry a 3500 watt generator and 4 folding chairs on this configuration which frees up more room in the back of my truck. I was hoping to be able to keep the generator on the rack while running but there is too much vibration in the trailer for that to work. I don’t think putting isolators on the mounting brackets would quiet the vibration enough for that to work so I still have to unload the genny before I run it but it’s easier taking the genny on and off this rack instead of my truck bed. The rack is well made and heavy duty enough for my purposes. After one year no negative issues have occurred.
I love this product. I have used it on 2 separate trailers and haul my BBQ pit and generator on it and have had no issues. Holds up well and is built with high quality material.
Great rack. I loaded (2) Honda 3000 Generators and a 28" wide trunk full of tools and a hydrolic jack on it and drove from San Diego to Idaho without a problem.
The only issue I have, and that is why I only gave it 4 stars, is that the back of the rack sits too close to the back of my trailer and I can't fold it up to the verticle position when not in use. Needs about another 1 to 1.5 inches of space between the rack and back of trailer.

This is a very well built rack. Assembly was easy and all the parts fit together correctly. It fit right on to the 4 inch bumper properly. We have used it twice so far and it is easy to put up into the storage position when not needed. I did add one of the tailgate strip LED lights to the rear of the rack to increase visibility when I have something larger on the rack that might hide my RV tail lights. Very satisfied with this rack.
The rack is of great quality and heavy. Welds look good and rack was in good shape cosmetically. Doesn’t flex at all like the single point hitch installed carriers. Also there is more ground clearance since the rack sits above the bumper. Make sure you have a beefy bumper that can handle the weight as the extended rack is probably close to 80lbs assembled. etrailer was phenomenal, as always. Ordered on the Tuesday before Xmas and received on Thursday. There isn’t a better online retailer. Only bummer is that sales tax is being collected for Texas now.
This carrier is heavy and well built!
I was concerned about the bumper tube being strong enough to support the extra weight I planed to place on it so I had 1/8" flat strap metal welded over the bumper tube and main brackets for added strength. We make an annual trip of 3000 miles and no troubles at all.
The modular design for different sizes is nice and I definitely like the fact that it can fold up out of the way.
I don't ever think it could break in any way but if it did I would replace it with the exact same thing.
The self tapping bolts on the etrailer bumper support snapped at an instant, I had to get longer bolts and nuts to go through the square tube. Otherwise I got it mounted easily and will give it the road test with about 275 lbs in a couple of weeks. So in summation, the rack and etrailer bumper supports looks very sturdy and I think will be a good addition for cargo.

Great, still hauling bikes and coolers on the carrier which is mounted on my 5th wheel bumper. I’m an e-trailer cargo carrier owner for over a year now and no problem at all with it.
The product is exactly what I expected. However, once I removed it from the packaging I found one of the connecting ends damaged and bent. I had spend quite a bit time straightening that portion of the bar to get it to mate up to the center section. Frustrating to pay that amount of money to nd up having to repair it.

We bought this foldable cargo carrier then asked to install with the new bumper we bought there. However, the purpose of being foldable was useless and no remedy offered.
The cargo carrier was well built and serves its intended purpose. However, your advertisements need to include the fact that it will not fold up unless the bumper is fully outside the camper body. I have a late model and the bumper is partially under the body and had to redesign the mounting system and not have the capability to fold up. This was a bit of a bummer.
Haven't got to put it on yet because I'm waiting on the bumper to get here but definitely a solid rack. I was a little disappointed (only reason it didn't get 5 stars) because the side peices are powder coated and the mid section was painted, Also one of the side came with some scratches on it like it was from a different kit. Mine will be used thoroughly so not a big deal I'll just add some paint to it. But for quality of build definitely 5 stars. Just gotta do a little better on quality checking before shipping.

I think the Carrier is well built and well-designed. with the I-frame on my trailer, the braces are not as effective. I am going to have a machinist make it stronger. I am mounting the spare tire on the underside of the carrier. It will work well.
Heavy duty, but very, very heavy. Even with bumper supports the bumper on my camper shows signs of stress. No longer using it.
As usual etailer has come through for me with another quality product. I needed somewhere to put my zero gravity chairs and sewage dump tank on my travel trailer. I was storing the chairs inside the trailer because they would not fit through the storage basement door, but this caused an insect problem inside the trailer, mainly spiders. Whenever I brought the chairs in from the outdoors, I always seemed to bring the outdoors in also. Also, the sewage dump caddy was taking up too much space in the storage basement and the grill was making a mess in there, that's where the rear bumper mounted carrier came in. It took care of those problems for me, and it was easy to assemble and is very well-built carrier. I was concerned about the weight on the bumper after a while tearing the bumper off, but etailer had put a bumper support kit in with the carrier which relieved my worries. I am well pleased with this product and all the other products I have purchased from etrailer.

Still working out great. I’ve had no problems with the carrier and it proves how well built it is with the rough highways we travel on for it to stay intact and not break off the back of the camper. I also since purchasing the carrier had a welding shop weld me a post stand that I bolted to the center of the carrier and I bolted it on so I could carry our bikes on it also. I stand the bikes against the post and strap them to it, works great! Thanks again for a great product !

Only used 2 outside sections, to use all three blocked tail lights
The boxes were delivered in very bad shape. I couldn't put the center piece in because it was to bent to attach, I could only use the two outer pieces which are also bent. It doesn't line up correctly and is very uneven. There are a lot of scratches on it. I did get the two outer pieces to connect and I'm leaving for a trip on Friday so I suppose I'll just store the center piece until the sight of it irritates me enough to throw it away. I ordered it about a month and a half prior to receiving it and the customer service was great at keeping me updated about the shipment, but other than that, extremely disappointed.

This rack is great and was very easy to install. All hardware was included and even sent the drill bits I needed.

Still working great. Love it. Holds plenty of stuff for my camper.
So far i started with installing the bumper supports. Spent 2 hours pre drilling with the supplied drill bit. The directions refer to a thread forming screw. The supplied screws are not thread forming nor do they fit in the hole drilled by the supplied drill. So far i would rate a zero.
It fit on my bumper perfectly. The instructions were fairly clear but easy to read.
Took me about 30 minutes to hook up.

The rack has been invaluable over the past year. Great option for those, like me, that have no storage space in truck bed 5th wheel but need to haul firewood, coolers, bikes, etc. The only con identified after a year of use is the coating. The rack is painted, instead of powdercoated which has resulted in it easily scratching and fading. The scratches quickly rust if not hit with some spray paint occasionally.
