Why Is My Dexter 12 Axle Hub Running Hot
Question:
I replaced bearing in one hub and cleaned other right hub temp no load 200 degrees the left hubs I only changed oil they run 165 degrees

There are many reasons why one of your hubs is running hotter than the other. We usually recommend that you work on both hubs at the same time when you are trouble shooting, this way you know that the same work was done on both hubs. I would change the oil in the right hub, since you changed the oil in the left hub. I would replace the bearings in the hub you did not service, but take a close look at the bearings to make sure there are no deformities/abnormalities. If after doing this and equalizing the variables and one wheel hubs temperature is still higher than the other, I would check by brakes to make sure they are all adjusted properly. There should be a slight drag on your wheel when it is spun freely. If the problem persists, you should have a mechanic take a look at the hubs and bearings.
