Hi there I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Loctite ViperLube High Performance Synthetic Grease. This advanced multi-purpose grease is a long life industrial lubricant. This will work well as a release agent on gaskets and seals. It can also work as an anti-rust film and on food processing equipment. This is a 14 ounce cartridge, so it is going to very easily install into your standard grease gun so that you can put that grease and lubricant where you need it.
This is composed of synthetic poly-alpha-olefin, or P.A.O., and a calcium sulfonate additive. This is designed for use in your wide range of operating temperatures and environments. It's registered to NSF category H1 for incremental food contact and around food processing areas. It does have an NLGI rating of number two. So it's about the consistency of peanut butter.
And it has a drop point of: 3948.8 degrees Fahrenheit which is the temperature at which it will change from that semi-solid state to the liquid state, but you probably won't ever get up to that high temperature. It is rated to work from, let's see here; let's do it on operating temperatures from:40 degrees Fahrenheit to 604 degrees Fahrenheit So, you'll will probably never get up to that prop point. So it will stay in that semi-liquid grease state for a long time for you to make sure that everything is going to be a well lubricated. So that's going to complete our look for today.
