Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Draw-Tite hitch pin and clip for 3 inch hitch receivers. Now this hitch pin will secure a hitch mounted accessory in your trailer hitch receiver. It does use this nice ergonomic clip here, which will insert into the end of the pin to hold the pin in place. You can see the ergonomic design has this nice bent angle to it.
So when you go to pull, it makes it very easy to pull and also very easy to install. Instead of having just a straight pin trying to push it in, this one allows you to just pull it out, put it right in.Now, this hitch pin does include the sleeve, but when it's installed on the pin, just like that, it will allow this pin to be used on heavy-duty 3 inch hitches that use a 3/4 inch diameter hitch pin hole. And again, just put your clip in there. Now the pin itself is a heat treated steel. It is strong and durable.
Finish is a nice zinc finish to resist corrosion. Again, the application for this pin is a 3 inch by 3 inch trailer hitch receiver. A pin diameter like this is 5/8 of an inch. We mentioned that when you slide that sleeve on there, it'll change it to 3/4 of an inch. Overall length from this end all the way to this end is going to be right at 6 inches.
The usable length, which after you install the pin is going to be the part in here that you'll be able to use on the hitch receiver, and is going to be right at 4 inches usable length.But, that should do it for the review on this Draw-Tite hitch pin and clip for 3 inch hitch receivers.

Ordered because my C3 hitch fits a 5/8" pin, but my moto carrier is drilled for (almost nearly but not quite) 3/4" and I wanted to reduce the potential for sway. Pre-ordering questions over chat were helpful, order was seamless and delivered quickly (for Canada), quality seems solid and fit and finish are top notch (in particular the sleeve over the 5/8" pin). Unfortunately it did not fit my application, but that was on me, not the fault of etrailer. I'll hang onto it as I'm sure I'll use it at some point.
This hjtch pin has worked very well on our 2019 F-350 which came with a 3” receiver. What more can I say, it’s a hitch pin.
