Today we're going to review part number AUT-RAMOEM-G, this is the automotive gold, stainless steel ram trailer hitch cover for 2 inch hitches in the gold and black color. Now the hitch covers do look really cool, but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. This Ram hitch cover will help keep dirt out of your receiver, prevents rust so you can easily install that ball mount, or other hitch accessories when you need them. Now, this is the officially licensed, Ram logo hitch cover, has a 3D ABS plastic emblem, which is very attractive to the eye, has a nice gold finish to add an ornate styling, and it uses a UV resistant, black paint on the interior of the log. This is a stainless steel construction, the plate that it's mounted on to is stainless steel, helps resist corrosion. On the back you can see the shank that goes into the receiver is a one piece, riveted construction.
There's no assembly required, when you receive this part, you'll get it just like this ready to install. If you notice on the side there it has multiple hitch pinholes to accommodate different hitch receivers. Now it does install if you're using a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock. If you already have one of those you can use that, if you need those we do sell those separately on our website, and they're listed on this product page as a related product. Now, this part is made in the USA, again the application is for 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. Just to give you an idea of the size of this hitch cover, the width on it is 3 and a half inches, and the height is a little bit taller, 3 and 3/4 inches.

One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.

This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".

Excellent quality. Looks like new one-year later. Highly recommended. You can see in photo the mirror like shine as it reflects the concrete below and the grass beside my driveway. Looks cool.
