Specs:
The Traveler bike rack lets you transport up to four bikes on the back of your vehicle without having to skimp on style or pay big bucks.
This versatile bike carrier slides into your vehicle's 1-1/4" or 2" trailer hitch. Leave on the included adapter sleeve to fit the shank into a 2" receiver, or remove the sleeve to slide the shank into a Class II, 1-1/4" receiver. An anti-wobble hitch pin reduces the movement of the rack in the hitch receiver. And you can tighten the thumbscrew on the back of the upright mast to help keep the mast from wobbling.
Dual Arms
Constructed of rugged steel with a sleek black powder coat finish, the Traveler features dual arms that support your bikes and better accommodate women's, children's and alternative frames. (An adapter bar [HRBA-PRO - sold separately] may still be required.) The arms easily fold down when the rack is not in use - just remove the tethered bail pin.
Anti-Sway Cradles
Rubber anti-sway cradles with straps firmly grip your bike's frame at three points to keep it from swaying front to back. This helps to keep your bikes from hitting each other and your vehicle during transit. The cradles rotate and slide along the arms, so you can easily adjust them based on the type and number of bikes you're transporting. And you can use the integrated safety strap to help keep your bikes tied down.
Tilting Mast
The Traveler's upright mast tilts forward to allow access to your vehicle's cargo area. Once your bikes are unloaded, just remove the linchpin from the base and tilt the rack away from the vehicle.
An anti-rattle hitch lock and cable lock set (HRLHPTC - sold separately) is recommended to deter theft of the rack and your bikes.

When mounted, this rack is secure. Rubber securing straps are plenty strong. Loading and securing 4 adult size bikes was relatively easy. Although a tight fit, it was not difficult and took about 30 minutes. Traveled 4 hours on first trip with no issues! We don't use it very often so I I don't keep it mounted to the car (it only takes a few minutes to put on and take off). This will prevent the rubber securing straps and other parts from deteriorating in the weather. By doing so, this thing will outlive several cars.
So far so good! The rack shipped and arrived quickly! Never any issues at all with etrailer!! The bike rack was easy to assemble and put on my SUV. I am going to add a stabilizer to control rattle and locking hitch pin. The only complaint I have is that Hollywood trailer made the hole on the hitch smaller and neither of mine no longer fit. They were both from Hollywood racks.
Ordered was received very promptly. Bike rack was solid and very easy to setup.Highly recommend etrailer
Love my bike rack!

Love my Hollywood bike rack a year later. Would highly recommend E-Trailers. Excellent products and excellent customer service.
I have put over 1,000 miles on this rack in about 18 months of ownership. While I like many aspects of it, I am fighting a losing battle with a design flaw in using it with a 2-inch receiver.
The rack itself is made to slide into a 1.25-inch receiver. To make it work with a 2-inch receiver, the rack comes with an aluminum sleeve that enlarges it for the larger receiver.
That sleeve is held to the rack with a *single* ~1-inch screw that is threaded to the receiver and the sleeve. The problem is that as the main hitch bolt loosens even a tiny amount, which is inevitable after even very short drives, a ton of force is applied to that tiny screw. And as both the screw and the hitch bolt loosen, the whole rack shimmies and rocks more than it should.
I have only ever used this rack with 3 bikes and the screw is basically failing. The 1/2-inch or so that screws into the rack is almost stripped. The threads in the aluminum sleeve are totally stripped. I feel like it's inevitable this tiny screw is going to fail.
I may try to DIY some solutions in hopes of keeping everything tight.
Otherwise, the rack is good. Easy to put on and take off. Easy to load the bikes. The rubber cradles for holding the bikes are well designed. It's heavy, but I expected that.
I think it would be an excellent rack for a 1.25-inch receiver. Not so much for a 2-inch receiver.
The carrier was eady to assemble and attach to my hitch. We have 4 bikes, 2 children, 1 women's and 1 man's. It wasn't until the carrier arrived that I saw the video about needing a bar accessory to put children's and women's bikes on. We did not have time or money to purchase more parts so we managed to fit the bikes on. The rack works great but may have made a different choice if we had the information prior to purchasing.

great. It is a great hitch and bike carrier. It is easy to use and holds all 4 bikes securely.
Because of the pandemic I didn't get help in person on how best to load my mountain bike or other unusual sized youth bikes. It is difficult to slide the bikes into place and I continue to try to find the optimum position without bruising my arms as I load them. Because I needed more than 2 bikes I didn't purchase the racks that hold the bike tires, which are much easier to load and don't work a little loose after driving awhile.
Great experience with our hitch and bike carrier. Etrailer is the best. Lots of good information on products to make the right decision. Excellent installation resources (videos, pdf, and people). Great customer service.
Has provided solid performance along with ease of use. Has no trouble holding 4 bikes and the straps make it very easy to secure.
Ordering and shipping were quite easy and very quick. Product looks very sturdy and easily assembled; however, have not hauled the bikes with it as of yet (just got it two days ago, the only reason I did not rate excellent).

I saw a Rav4 that had a bike rackHollywood that fit over the spare tire. The rack looked to be bolted to the back of the door. I have an SUV without a door mounted spare, but I would like to find a bike rack that mounts to the back of the car. I dont want to use a car hitch.
It performs very well - solid purchase
Love it!
We are happy with the sturdiness of this rack! Plus, it is a great price.
have not put it on yet but awesome service! thank you for the help
The products are great!! I like it when I install the Bike Rack on my 2015 Toyota Rav4.
Bought this product after researching many 4 bike capacity racks on line. I wanted something sturdy but not ultra expensive. I considered buying the Thule trailway ( I think it’s csljed) at dicks because it got pretty good reviews and has a latch to tilt instead of a pin. But ultimately decided on this model. So glad I did. very sturdy. Easy to assemble and operate. Holds 4 bikes or varying sizes/styles easily. The only change I would make would be to somehow attach pin that you pull out to tilt the rack out to the rack somehow. I’m always afraid I’m going to lose it. This rack will stay on my car for the majority of the year (with the exception of winter) so ease of use was important to me
Built to last. This one is replacing a 3-bike Hollywood rack that is 12 years old. It still works fine but I needed space for more bikes! I had one question during assembly - I called the toll-free number on the instructions and immediately talked to a very helpful person who answered my question. I highly recommend Hollywood racks and highly recommend etrailer.com.
This is a very good, sturdy bike rack. It's easy on/off as it's hitch mounted. I've taken two bikes (it's a 3 bike rack) on a trip with this rack, it's very secure on my small SUV. It also folds down with bikes on the rack so you can access the hatch area of the vehicle.
I give it 5 Stars for my family's needs. I have used the Hollywood 5 bike rack for one year with light to moderate use. It is pretty easy to take on and off the hitch and sets up very quickly. The hitch bar fits snugly into the 2" with very little play or swaying while bikes are loaded on the rack. All parts, straps and holders are fully functional with zero breakage and no signs of wear. The holders can accommodate a wide variety of bike frame styles; however, the rack works best with somewhat traditional bike frames involving a top bar. The only thing I haven't tested is carrying 5 bikes at once; I've maxed out on 4 bikes with the family.
It's very well made. The only thing I did was I added some duct tape where the long rods seat into the top of the carrier (so they don't get damaged when you tighten them into place) and the back portion of the wheels you tighten and loosen so you dont have to hold it when you tighten the wheels down.
I've had zero issues with it. My wife says it's too high for her to use though. She's 5'3'' and can't lift the bikes onto it without hurting her neck or back when using it with her SUV. I'm 6' and don't have any issues. We use it to carry 2 adult and 3 kids bikes. They all fit with no issues. Just have to make sure you have the bike pedals in the right orientation.
Maybe if you're on the shorter side you'd want a drop hitch adapter. Maybe if you have a minivan or shorter hitch it's not an issue either.
It's very well made and definitely worth the money.
The HR6000 works very well, bikes load easily, have rubber tie downs that hold the bikes securely and is very stable on the road.
This rack holds 3 bikes, normally I use it for 2 bikes but on occasion i have had 3 bikes, and it is stable and secure. The 3/8 bolt that connects the rack to the hitch has a tapered end that easily finds the threaded end in the hitch and threads through. The rack has a bottom pin that allows the vertical tube to lean back so the trunk or rear door can be opened with the rack on, (a very nice feature ) to help make that connection tight, there is a thumbnail bolt at the bottom to take up the play. That is a problem because that bolt wants to loosen and lets the rack sway, something to be aware of. Overall a nice way to carry bikes at a good price.
We've only used it once but it is great! It fits all 5 of our bikes without issue and we're happy. We have an adult men's bike, adult women's bike, and three 24" kid/teen bikes. The women and kid bikes have to go through the bars slightly differently, but not a problem at all. We love it!
Very nice bike rack for the price. Rack was very easy to put together and install. have only used it once but it seems to be very well made. the ordering was easy to use and rack arrived in 3 days.
