Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles
The Thule Camber has dual arms that provide excellent support for your bikes. They slope up to provide ground clearance for steep driveways and bumpy roads.
To fold the arms down, pull up the HitchSwitch lever at the top of the mast. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And when stored in this configuration, it doesn't take up as much space in your garage.
HideAway anti-sway cradles with rubber straps hold your bikes firmly in place. Each set of cradles has two straps that secure your bike along the top tube and one that secures the seat post or downtube. This multi-point contact helps keep your bikes from rocking back and forth, reducing bike-to-bike contact. The soft rubber cradles rotate around the rack's arms to accommodate bikes of different styles and shapes.
The cradles have grooves on the surface that prevent your brake and shifter cables from getting pinched.
Ratchet straps hold your bikes firmly in place on the cradles. You can remove the lower straps and fold the cradles up against the arms to make it easier to slide your bikes onto the rack.
HitchSwitch Lever for Easy Tilting
The rack tilts down without your bikes loaded. This means you won't have to remove the whole rack to access your cargo area for grocery runs and other errands.
To tilt the rack down, pull up HitchSwitch lever at the base of the mast. When you're ready to go, lift the rack up until it snaps into place with an audible click.
A threaded hitch pin is included to help eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport. To tighten the pin in your hitch, use the included wrench.
You can install the rack in a 1-1/4" hitch or in a 2" hitch. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with the included Allen key.
Available Security and Adapter Bar
A cable lock and hitch lock (sold separately) are available to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. Additionally, One-Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.
If you have a women's bike, kid's bike, or any other bike without a straight, horizontal top tube, you will need an adapter bar (sold separately) to properly mount your bike. The bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to create a top tube so your bike hangs level on the rack.

The HitchSwitch levers make it easy to to bring down the bike rack to get to the cargo area. Strong and solid Thule bike rack.

This is a sturdy bike rack that has held up great for us. It also folds down easily for easy trunk access. My only complaint would be the height and depth of the rack - for a short weakling like me, it's a little bit of a struggle/shimmy to get the bikes up that high and back far enough on the rack. Also, the plastic ties can be fussy until you realize that they need to be flush/snapped into place first before tightening (otherwise, they're difficult to tighten - that's on me for not figuring this out right away!). Overall we're pleased with it, although if we continue to drive our current car with its lame factory-installed hitch, I might opt for a smaller rack (since our hitch can only handle the weight of two bikes at a time anyway). As for etrailer, my family has bought tons of products from them over many years and have never ever had a bad experience.

Bike rack performs well. We us it every weekend and leave on the car in winter. The only reason I did not rate with 5 stars is due to the fact that it is difficult to put the 4th bike on.
Works great for 3 bikes but is a challenge when adding the 4th. My understanding is that this is a common issue with any bike rack and I should have purchased a bike rack which can hold 5 bikes to easily fit 4 bikes.
I bought this rack in case my riding friends and I had an accident and needed to haul all the bikes. The most bikes I put on the rack so far has been 3. It was a tight fit, but it worked (Road bikes). The rack did wobble some from side to side, so I purchased a stabilizer and now it is solid. Not sure why it did that. I made sure to tighten everything. When looking for a locking key, the only one that I found would work is the Thule lock. Kinda expensive. While I spent extra after market, the rack feels solid, and I am comfortable knowing my bike is not just going to fall off my vehicle.
We use it regularly. Even at my age (73) I have little difficulty getting it on and off the hitch and attaching the bikes. The straps cannot be pulled too tight or they are a bear to get off by yourself.

No problems with the rack at all but ended up going to a bottom supported setup to better support my bike in transit after a year of use with this rack.
This has been a great product and a huge upgrade over our old trunk-mount bike rack.
It holds our bikes super steady even when we're driving over gravel or dirt roads. I never have had a problem getting the bikes on or off the rack, and although I have heard that some people have trouble with the fasteners, I've never had a problem with ours.
The only minor issue I have had is that the bolt attaching the rack to the trailer hitch gradually loosens slightly after extensive use with 3 or 4 bikes. Every ten trips or so I re-tighten it a little.
Very easy to install and to attach our bikes- two adult bikes and two children's 20 inch bikes. The bikes are very secure on the rack. There is minimal movement while driving. It is also easy enough for me to attach alone and I'm not that strong and I have a bum shoulder. This rack works perfectly with our 2019 Subaru Ascent.
I recently purchased this Thule bike rack. It was easy to figure out how to use and easy to load the bikes on. It does take a few minutes to load 4 bikes but the more times I do it the faster I get! The bikes are secure and do not bang together. A great buy!
Have really enjoyed being a customer of etrailer. Their [online] videos are key to give you DIY confidence Got this hitch and a rack earlier this week. Installed it today with my son. Took about 4 hours in the garage on the crv. All working well so far.
I love this bike rack. I installed it myself. It was very easy. Loading the bikes on the rack was simple too. I drive a Yukon XL. Because my SUV is already long was worried that I wouldn’t be able to close the garage door with the rack attached. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw I had enough room when I folded the rack down. However, I can’t have the rack in the raised position and close the garage door. But that’s ok because the bikes are so easy to remove from the rack.
Love this bike rack. Have had it for one year and use it weekly in warmer months. It’s easy for one person to take it on and off and only takes a few minutes to load/unload bikes. Highly recommend!
I should have come straight to etrailer for my purchase. I made the mistake of trying Another online retailer first. I waited 11 days and still no word on when the order would be filled.
