Replacement Straps for Old Hollywood Racks Traveler HR800 Bike Rack
Question:
I have an old Hollywood bike rack. I can’t find anything to look up model. One of the straps needs to be replaced and I am also wondering how to mount bikes on it

Thanks for the photos! What you have there is the old model Hollywood Racks Traveler HR800 bike rack which was made in the USA between 1980 and 1993. This is the predecessor to the current Traveler 4 Bike Carrier # HR8500 and you will install your bikes in a similar manner - by placing each bike in the cradle locations and then using the straps to secure your bikes to the bike rack. I'm attaching a review video of the current Traveler so you can see what I'm talking about with the cradles.
There aren't any direct replacement parts for that rack but my contact at Hollywood Racks said you can use the 48" Strap Kit # HLY88ZR or the 86" Strap # HRSTP86 as a substitute. These use a simple cam buckle as opposed to the clips that you have on the bike rack.
