  • CURT

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Features:

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind rear bumper
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector
  • Limited 1-year warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, along both sides of the frame rail.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

1994 Dodge Dakota

*I have not had a chance to install my new hitch, wiring harness & 4-pole bracket, but I don't expect any problems. My shipment was delivered in a timely manner and was as ordered.
*I have been a customer of e.trailer for some time now and have had great service and products from them. I really like the instructional text & videos on the use, application & installation of the various products. In the past I had an atypical trailer wiring situation and actually received an instructional video from one of the e.trailer reps. I was very impressed and the advise was spot on!!

1994 Dodge Ram Pickup

Fit perfectly on my 1994 Dodge Ram short bed that already had a 7 pin trailer connector. It was pretty much a plug-in installation. This 4 pin connector plus the mounting bracket is what I needed to rent equipment that always has a 4-pin wiring harness.

by:

This was the easiest install of a trailer wiring harness I've ever encountered.
Once I cleaned up the mess that a large trailer company did on my truck originally, I had no problems installing this in about ten minutes.

by:
1992 Dodge Ram Pickup

I received the product in excellent time. I have not yet got to put it on as I am restoring a 1992 Club Cab W250 Intercooled, 5.9 Turbo Diesel, with a body, frame off redo. The mechanicals are all done and frame done. I have installed a Curt Class 5 plus hitch and am working on body with bed not yet on.

by:

Easy, Easy, Easy install. Love the plug and play. Beats splicing into my factory 1990 D150 wiring harness (which I might add is pristine).

by:
1994 Dodge Dakota

This makes the second one that I've otdered. The first one is still doing great. I put both on my 1994 Dodge Dakotas. Great company to do business with. Arrived ahead of time. Great quality product. • Will The Draw-Tite Hitch 75073 Fit My 1991 Dodge Dakota With A New Westin Bumper
Though there will be no issues installing the Draw-Tite # 75073 hitch with your new bumper, there may still be drilling required for the installation. This will go for all the hitches we have available for your 1991 Dodge Dakota as well. With that being said, I couldn't find a bumper when referencing the 64000 part number, so I will mention that this does not fit vehicles with factory or aftermarket lower rear fascia or with a roll-pan or tube bumper. If you meant the Westin Fey Diamondstep...

  • Adding In-Bed Trailer Wiring in a 1994 Dodge Ram for a Camper
To add in-bed wiring for your truck bed camper I would need to know what type of connector the camper requires. A lot of campers have unique wiring connectors but I can tell you how to get some wiring in the bed and add a 7-Way blade style connector. You will start by installing a 4-Way (unless the truck already has one) at the back of the vehicle. Use # C55317 that you have referenced. Then you will need to install # ETBC7 which will provide a 7-Way and 4-Way at the back of the truck....

The Curt Trailer Hitch, # 14001, will fit your 1989 Dodge D250 pickup as long as it does not have a roll pan bumper. I have included a link to a video installation on a similar truck below. I also added a link to the installation instructions. I also recommend the Forged Ball Mount, # 40331, and ball # A-90 (2 inch diameter), or # 19286 (2-5/16 inch diameter). The wiring for your truck is the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # C55317. Installation is easy. The...

  • Parts Needed to Add 7-Way and 4-Way to 1994 Dodge Dakota
If you are looking to wire a 7-way to your truck that doesn't have any trailer wiring you will need to start with a 4-way. For trailer wiring you then would want the part # C55317 to start to give you a 4-way. Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up...

  • Trailer Connector for Towing Camper With 1995 Dodge Ram Pickup
In order for your trailer taillights to function properly, you'll need to install a trailer wiring connector on your 1995 Ram. The two most common types of trailer connectors are the 4-pole and the 7-way. I'll link you to a trailer wiring FAQ article that shows the differences between them. If your camper has a 4-pole connector, you'll use part # C55317. The wiring harness will install as shown in the installation instructions that I've linked for you. If it has a 7-way, there'll be...

  • Selecting Trailer Wiring Harness for 1990 Dodge Ram Pickup
The term cab-and-chassis refers to a vehicle that was originally manufactured to be a platform for a motor home or recreational vehicle. In other words, it is considered the foundation for a vehicle rather than the complete vehicle. Sometimes the fit of certain components will vary between the cab-and-chassis and standard full versions of a vehicle. As it happens, in the case of your 1990 Dodge Ram pickup there is one custom-fit harness that fits both the cab-and-chassis and regular pickup,...

If you are wanting to install a 4-way wiring harness on your Dakota, we do have a plug and play harness available, checkout the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # C55317 . • Recommended 4-Way Wiring for 1994 Dodge Ram 2500
For a 4-way connection on your 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 the Curt # C55317 will definitely work. The Curt harness will also be the most reliable when compared to others available. For installation you will need to locate the connections points along the frame rail and plug in the T-connector. No cutting or splicing is required. This will allow you to power the signal lights on your trailer while bumper towing.
