We do have a plug and play 4 pole trailer connector harness for a 1990 Dodge Ram 50 pickup. As long as your trailer has minimal lighting (one taillight per side without multiple marker lights), the Curt # C55317 would work great for you. The harness would plug inline with the factory taillight harnesses on the driver's and passenger frame rail behind the bumper.
If your trailer has more extensive lighting, you'll need to use a hardwired powered converter like # C59496 because the existing taillight circuits on your truck don't have the necessary capacity to pull enough amperage for the truck and trailer taillights at the same time.
To install, the green converter wire would tap into the right turn/brake circuit, the yellow into the left turn/brake lamp circuit, the brown wire taps into the running lamp circuit and the white wire and red wire would ground to the truck frame. The black wire would run to the positive battery terminal via the included fuse holder.
Because your truck uses a combined taillight system, when installing the green wire
