In order for your trailer taillights to function properly, you'll need to install a trailer wiring connector on your 1995 Ram. The two most common types of trailer connectors are the 4-pole and the 7-way. I'll link you to a trailer wiring FAQ article that shows the differences between them.

If your camper has a 4-pole connector, you'll use part # C55317. The wiring harness will install as shown in the installation instructions that I've linked for you.

If it has a 7-way, there'll be two different installation scenarios. If the trailer does NOT have electric brakes, you'd install the 4-pole mentioned above, but in addition you'd also use a 4-pole to 7-way adapter, part # 37185. The adapter would plug into the 4-pole provided by the # 118317, and would have 4 extra wires. The white wire would ground to the vehicle frame, and the other 3 wires which aren't needed can be bundled up out of the way.

If the camper does have electric brakes, you'll need to install a brake controller to actuate them. A proportional controller like the Tekonsha Primus # TK90160 provides safer and more predictable braking than controllers that use the older time-delayed technology. You'd install the controller using our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. Once again, you'd first install the 4-pole as mentioned above. The ETBC7 kit includes the adapter to convert it to a 7-way as well as all the wiring and hardware needed to complete the installation.

I've also linked you to an install video and some FAQ articles that will walk you through the installation.
