Specs:
This manual sidewind jack can be bolted or welded onto your A-frame coupler, or it can sit in a brace behind the coupler. It is constructed of powder coated steel to ensure that it will resist rust and corrosion and hold up well to the elements.
If you have something mounted on your trailer's frame that keeps you from being able to rotate the handle on a topwind jack, then the sidewind handle on this jack provides a great alternative.
You always want to be sure when purchasing a tongue jack that the jack capacity at least matches your trailer's tongue weight (TW). Your trailer's TW should be around 10 percent to 15 percent of your gross trailer weight (GTW), which is the weight of your trailer when it's fully loaded. So if you have a 5,000-lb trailer you would want a jack that can support at least 500 lbs to 750 lbs.

Hello, neighbors. I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at this Lippert A-Frame Trailer Jack. It's a side wind jack with a 15 inch lift capacity and it's rated for 2000 pounds. Now, utility jacks will let you raise or lower your A-frame trailer, and the nice side wind handle has a zinc finish for an attractive look, and it's rust resistant. And it keeps it out of the way when you're cranking, versus the top wind ones.
The finish is a heavy duty steel construction, while the finish is the black powder coat. And that's also gonna resist the rust, corrosion, that kind of stuff. As you can see, it's a bolt-on application or weld-on. You could grind off the finish here if you're gonna weld it in place and weld it to your trailer frame if you need to, or simply pick up some hardware at your local hardware store. There's no hardware included.
You would have to purchase that separately. Now, some measurements here, folks. From the bottom of this bracket to the bottom of the inner tube, retracted like it is now, it's nine inches. If I we're to crank this and extend this all the way up, that measurement from the bottom of the bracket to the bottom of the tube goes to 24 inches. Now it's got an impressive 15 inches of lift.
You can simply crank it up or down, depending on your needs. The outer tube diameter is two and three eighths inches across, while the inner tube diameter is two inches across. Now folks, we also do carry separately, you can see this hole through here. You can purchase separately a wheel if you want to put a caster wheel on there for your jack, so you can roll the trailer around, or you can also get a flat plate for the bottom of your jack. Those are both hold separately as well.
Well, folks, very simple jack here today. I think it's gonna do it for our look at this Lippert A-Frame Trailer Jack. Again, it's a side wind, the handle's on the side. I'm Steve. Thanks for watching. Have a great one.
