How to Properly Measure for Cut-Out Dimension
There are two main dimensions you need to know when choosing a replacement access door or adding a new one to your RV:
The cut-out diameter is the width of the circle needed to ensure the access door mounts flush to the wall of your RV.
The mounting depth is the depth needed behind the mounting surface for the access door's hatch to properly fit.

Today we're going to take a look at the JR Products 5" access hatch for RVs. Now this will replace the 5" access hatch on your RV. Now the mounting hole pattern will usually match most original hatch rings. This will provide access to your plumbing, your electrical, your cargo areas and even your hose compartments.Once you unscrew the center lid, there, you can gain access. Does use a nice waterproof seal on here. It'll prevent leakage.
So in other words, when you put your lid back in there and tighten it down, that'll seal it. These are UV and impact resistant. You can see it's a nice black color.Few specs on this. The overall diameter, including the mounting flange, edge to edge, is going to be right at 6-11/16". The mounting hole dimensions, you can see there's six mounting holes, so if we measure from the center of one directly across to the center of the one right across from it, it's going to be right at 6-1/8".
The cutout diameter, which is this portion in the back here that would be cut out for this to be installed, the hole size would be 5-7/16". And then, of course, if we remove the center lid, the actual hatch opening diameter on the inside is right at 5".But that should do it for the review on the JR Products 5" access hatch for RVs.

Its mounting holes match most RVs and waterproof seal keeps areas dry.For some odd reason my RV exit hole for my black water hose was off set forcing my hose to be at a 90. This hatch after installed did the trick. I now have one less 90 by placing it directly under my vale outlet.

Matches an existing port pretty well so symmetry has been maintained. Looks good and operates easily.
I used this access door to expand the capacity of a cargo box I installed on the front of my ATV. I traced the pattern, cut it out and bolted it down. It looks like it came that way. I filled the hollow upper space of the cargo box with light stuff like first-aidsupplies, but spray, TP, etc. eTrailer is my go to place more than just trailer parts. Always quick and accurate service.
Good product. Would have given it 5 stars if it came with mounting hardware.

We do mention above in the product description that the installation hardware is not included. This is because the hardware needed will depend on the nature of the surface that the access door is mounted to. Different surfaces require different hardware.
I purchased this access hatch to use for a floor-mounted heat rejection port for a portable air conditioner in my converted cargo trailer. I wanted something that would seal well when I wasn't using the air conditioner. It installed easily and serves the purpose very well.
Part was exact one I needed. Came on time, installed today on my day off.

Ordered two of these 5 inch deck plates but received 4 inch deck plates instead after waiting over a week for delivery.
