I have used B&W hitches for many years and I've been very happy with the quality of their products. etrailer makes it easy to shop for these hitches since the B&W site is terrible. I was able to find the correct size and all dimensions were listed clearly. Thanks again!

by:

heavy solid fits thanks

by:

It is refreshing to still see American companies selling “Made in USA” quality these days.

by:

Really heavy duty solid steel 2 inch square, really thick steel tongue and and tight fitting hole for the ball bolt so little chance of ball rattle or slipping. Nice smooth welding and finish.

by:

Ball mount is awesome and super high quality and heavy duty over and above what I will need to tow my 7000 pound car trailer but I like it that way! Great job to everyone involved. My hat is off to the fabricators, made in USA Mount arrived without a nick, perfect weld marks and flawless show quality paint job. I may not even use it, it is that nice. Maybe put it in a display case and start a collection. Fast shipping, 2 days

by:

Great product would purchase again.

by:

Product is extremely heavy duty. much more than I will need, but I appreciate quality made is USA products. Etrailer packaging not so great. Box was torn by weight of this item, which caused a chip in the finish of the item.

by:

Solid shaft, weighty, but expecting a long life from it. I'll have to hunt around for someone who has the right tool for getting [torque specs] on the ball, but shouldn't be a big problem. Package tracking was excellent and on time.

by:

Made from solid bar stock. B&W Made in the USA can not go wrong. Thank you Stacy for helping me order this product.

  • Will the B and W Hitch part # BWHDRH25132 Fit a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 6 foot Bed
Yes, the B and W Heavy Duty trailer hitch part # BWHDRH25132 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 6 foot bed that has either a standard or step bumper. For a heavy duty hitch with as much capacity as this hitch has you really aren't going to find a better deal. For a ball mount you would want the part # BWBMHD30010 and then for a 2-5/16 inch ball part # BWHB94004.

  • Recommended Class V Hitch for 2006 GMC Sierra for Towing 10,800 lb Boat
I'd recommend upgrading that hitch, ASAP. If the hitch fails while you're towing, causing an accident, your insurance company would be well within their rights to deny you coverage which would leave you wide open to all kinds of legal liability. Not a pretty situation. Usually, Class V hitches do indeed have a 2-1/2 inch receiver tube. However, companies like Curt Manufacturing, Draw-Tite and B&W have developed Class V hitches with a 2 inch receiver tube that are strong enough to be classified...

  • Compatibility of Curt Class IV with Spare Tire of 2013 Ram 1500 ST
The rearmost frame cross member or bumper beam of your Ram is essentially the OEM hitch minus the receiver opening. The OEM hitch can be completed so to speak using the Curt # 13333 which would provide a capacity of 6,000 lb gross towing/ 600 lb tongue weight. In order to achieve a higher tongue weight capacity (10,000 GTW/1,00TW), you would need to use the Curt Class IV # 14374 that uses the frame members for its two forward-most attachment points and the bumper beam for its rear attachment...

I called my contact at Curt and they told me that you can use the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount, part # C45331 flipped over if you wish but you will probably have a heck of a time removing the ball. They said the ball is machine-torqued at 450 ft-lbs when it is attached to the drawbar. An option that may be easier on you would be to use a different ball mount and ball. • Replacement Hitch Ball to Increase Ball Height
It is always important to keep your trailer level when hitched to your tow vehicle and the two simplest ways to accomplish this are either a high-rise hitch ball such as the two you reviewed, parts # C40033 and # C40034, or a ball mount with the amount of rise you need. Either option will work. The hitch balls you referenced are shown in the linked photo; I have added the dimension above the mounting surface for each ball. I read through the instructions for the Draw-Tite hitch, # 41546, and while it does mention the E-350 a couple of times, I cross referenced your 2008 Ford E-350 with the Draw-Tite catalog and fit guide I have. This hitch was not recommended for the E-350 as there are hitches that are a more ideal fit for the E-350. For your 2008 Ford E-350, I recommend the Draw-Tite Hitch, # 41926. This is a Class IV hitch with 1,000 pounds of tongue weight capacity and 10,000 pounds gross trailer weight....
