What Is The Size Of The Socket Of The Replacement Manual Jack Handle For Electric A-Frame Jack

Question:

In your video you don’t say the size of the hex socket. I saw elsewhere it is 3/8” but that was too small and 7/16” was too big, so I wasn’t able to use a regular socket wrench temporarily. I ordered one of these and I’m waiting on it to arrive but I’m still not 100 sure it’s even going to fit. Also, my electric jack ram 3500 lb a frame is making a loud clicking noise when I try to lower it. It seems like it is stuck and somehow locked up…and it sounds like there is a gear or something slipping and making a very loud clicking noise. Any advice? If I use the manual crank is there a possibility it still won’t lower?

The Replacement Manual Jack Handle for etrailer or RAM Electric A-Frame Jack # EJ-3520-HD is a 10mm socket.

As far as your jack making a clicking noise, it could be a few things. First check the ground connection on the motor and ensure it is grounded correctly. This is a fairly common issue across the board as far as things not functioning properly. The next thing you can check for is your battery's voltage to make sure it is not weak and operating at the correct voltage. A minimum of 10 volts is required for operation per the user manual.

Finally, make sure you are not overloading your jacks, this could also be causing your jack to click or make unusual noise.
