Thule really made a huge mistake for this very expensive rack. These plastic end bits break constantly. They break if you just give them a stern look. There is less than a penny of material in the part and MSRP for the part is about $xx US. Must be a HUGE profit center. I am over Thule.
This is absolutely NO reflection on etrailer, but this part is sort of badly designed by Thule. I keep having to by more of them because they get knocked off by tree limbs or whatever. The plastic attachment point for this part is flimsy and breaks quickly. In fact, a few years after owning this rack, most of the plastic parts are breaking or falling off. Again, not a problem with etrailer.
I needed a replacement part for my Thule truck rack. I googled it and etrailer came up with the part I needed. I have ordered things from them in the past with good luck so I did again. At the time place the order they were up front with me and told me through an email that the parts were on back order. The person that emailed me said that they would stay on top of it. As promised they did, and the parts were shipped out when they said that they were going to. Great job once again!! Thank you.
Shipping to Hawaii was quick with priority shipping which was extra $$$ but well worth it.
I was so happ y to find that etrailer had the hardware and end cap available for my Thule extendable rack. I was happy I could purchase one end cap and not a quanity, I only wish I could have purchased individual pcs. of hardware as well instead purchasing the whole package of parts. I thought shipping was slower than I expected, I was thinking I would receive the package within 2 weeks, it took 3-4 weeks.
Overall I was very pleased.
I originally purchased from Thule website. After three weeks, it didn't ship so I contacted them and they told me it wasn't in production and didn't know when it would be. I ordered from etrailer and they said it would ship in a few days. THEN I got an email saying it would be delayed AND that they contacted THULE and confirmed production in early June. I also got a PHONE CALL from a real person apologizing for the delay. This product was serves its purpose. I ordered five, to have some extras. Service was AWESOME.. George did a great job, initially and with follow up.
I will continue to and have bought from them in the past.
