What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're just gonna be taking a look at the replacement caps for your Malone AirFlow2 roof rack system. As you probably already know the Malone AirFlow2 has a nice and unique end cap. So, has a little flap down here to access our tracks on top. But if you lose one, you're gonna need to grab some replacements. That's actually the situation we're in today.
We don't have one on here, but we do have one here. So, what you wanna make sure of is we're gonna get two for the one side and two for the other side. What I mean by that is these are gonna fit in nice and neat. Right here. Just like that.
They're gonna be a little bit harder to get in. Just because they are new. But as you start wearing them down a little bit it's gonna be a little bit easier to get them in and out. But as you can see, this will line up. But if you use the other ones, they won't.
So, we're gonna get one for each side. Obviously that's not right. So just be sure to replace whatever one that you really need to get done. It's only gonna go in one spot. So it's pretty straightforward.
So this is gonna be an exact replacement. It's not gonna have any differences whatsoever. So we had the old one here. It's got the flap, we got the new one here. It's got the flap. It's the same exact thing. So maybe if the caps aren't really staying in there as well, the new ones are gonna stay in there nice and tight. But if you just lose it, we have replacements for you. And it's just as easy as when you do it normally. You just go ahead and line it up. Kind of shift it back and forth. Like I said, it's gonna be a little bit more difficult to get them in there. Compared to the old ones because it's not as worn down. But it is a nice and tight fit. That's exactly what we have. But now we have all of them or they're gonna stay in place. And that'll do it for our look at the replacement end caps for your Malone AirFlow2 roof rack system..

Replaces the endcaps for Malone AirFlow2 roof rack aero crossbars (MPG215, MPG216, or MPG217).The end caps are perfect fit for the crossbars and would receive 5 stars if both the instructions and the videos showed that you need to slightly depress the tab on top of the cap to prevent the tab from breaking resulting in the cap being loose in the crossbar. I guarantee this would resolve the comments regarding loose end caps.
I think this is my second etrailer review. I don't think this part was in stock when I ordered it and it took FOREVER to get to me, but it's not a critical part and the customer service people at etrailer sent me periodic check-ins to ensure I knew my order was still placed and would be fulfilled eventually. I was even proactively given the option to cancel my order for a refund, but I held fast knowing my money hadn't just gone into a void never to be seen again.
If there's ever something I need that can be found on this website, you can bet I'm going here first.

UPDATE: A year later and still going strong. Ill also, add that its very luck that this part is kept in stock for the very specific reason that many roof top tent makers recommend the Malone crossbars. One of my original end caps had popped off just because the edge of the tent rests against where the caps sits like I said though, since replacing no problems.
This is a great tool. The only thing I would recommend to anyone is maybe find something to put between it and your door jamb on your vehicle to spread the weight out some more. I used mine and put a small dent in my door jamb. 6’3” 230lbs. Not a problem with the door step but just how thin the metal is on these new cars these days! Thanks
Very satisfied with this purchase. The rails shipped to HI much faster than anticipated and fit just as described on my vehicle. The video instructions for installation were also very helpful. Customer service exceeded expectations when I found a piece to be missing. They shipped the replacement part within a week without an extra charge and followed up to make sure I received it. The customer service representative, Carol C, answered all emails and questions in a timely and professional manner. I'll do business to with this company again.
This product is great given the price. The end caps is definitely a weak point. But once you have a customer support such as that of etrailer, you're in good hands. They listen to what the customer is saying and provide an easy and fast replacement.
2 of my end caps fell off at some point. I ordered these replacement end caps and they fit perfectly.

Replacement products have been great!
How does one rate a replacement part? Um yes, exactly the part that broke on the crossbars I have that I wanted to replace, top marks!
Order and delivery were fine, but one of them broke off while installing. I think the design of the product is bunk.
They wouldn't stay in, So I had to glue them on. But they look great.
Besides a shipping delay... which wasn't etrailers fault, I appreciated that I could find these replacement parts here. Etrailer kept in communication about my order on multiple occasions and provide a high degree of customer service.

Its been a year since installing this replacement part and its holding up well. The vehicle is parked outdoors, so it is exposed to the elements. Good overall quality and fit on these endcaps.

These worked great. I purchases over a year ago and have not come off not once.
Exercise care when removing gear from rack, especially boats, as end caps can open if gear drags over them.
The end caps do not fit our cross bars ??
One of the few downsides of the Airflow2 roof rack is the endcaps can get knocked off fairly easily if you're not careful. These replacement endcaps are inexpensive and fit great. ETrailier was excellent as always. Quick shipping and great customer service.
Purchased a set of Malone Airflo 2 Cross Bars for my 2015 Hyundai Tuscon from etrailer. Very impressed with the quality of product and packaging and how easy it was to order, pay and fit and attach the cross bars to my vehicle. The carton was delivered and contained all the parts, assembly instructions and an hex wrench to install the cross bars on on my vehicle. I also liked the way the racks contained a secure (key) system to hide the wrench and deter the theft of the cross bars. I received an unsolicited followup e-mail a year later from etrailer to see if I was still satisfied with the product. I replied to Carol that I was except for the end caps coming loose. I told her this was not a big issue as I reinforced the attachment with waterproof tape and there was no longer a problem as the caps were secured. I liked the cross bars as they did not affect my vehicle's handling and made no noise when driving with empty racks. Carol said that was fine but she would send me a new set as that was a part of Malone's lifetime warranty. Received the replacement caps and will install them when I remove the racks in the fall.

Rack was quite easy to install and has performed well with car-top carrier. Ordered extra endcaps, but have not needed to replay any yet.
Have paired with Malone SeaWing kayak carriers. Only issue is that the Malone SeaWings do not conform to the aerodynamic cross-section of these Malone rails. Made it work, but Malone should seriously consider creating multiple adaptors for the SeaWing (with possibly an enlarged notch) so they will actually fit more rails.
Replacement fit. I was glad to be able to replace the endcap that had disappeared. It was quite a wait, but no one else had them either. I chose to wait for the product from etrailer. I have always been satisfied with purchases from etrailer.
Fit like a glove- pro tip do not go through an automated car wash with your aero bars and you will not need this product lol

I recently ordered some replacement end caps to replace one that went missing from my roof rack.
Customer service reached out to me to check that everything was good the same day they arrived.
While trying to install, I had the securing tab on one break (obviously, no fault of etrailer). I contacted them and they were immediately responsive.
After explaining the situation to them and sharing pictures of the problem, they promptly sent me a new set of end caps at no charge.
Their customer service was outstanding and not something I’ve come to expect in today’s online shopping world. It was a most welcome surprise!
I ordered more end caps for my Malone roof rack crossbars as one fell out and was lost. They came in a pack of four, two for the right and two for the left. The new cap went in easily and I still have one to spare for the right side and two for the left side.

End caps and crossbars are great. No issues after a year of use. Caps remain secure in bars.
