Replacement Base Assembly for Thule Xsporter Pro Ladder Rack - Right Front or Left Rear Assembly

These were replacement saddles and pads for the Thule Xporter Pro system. I installed them on my 2006 Tacoma with the adapter kit. Everything matched the original equipment perfectly. This was my first experience with etrailer and it was good. I'll likely do business with them again. The part could not be immediately shipped as their shipment from Thule had not arrived, however, they were very proactive with email communications notifying me of the delay and gave me real people to contact if I needed anything. I liked upon receiving the product that there was a number to call if I needed anything--I didn't; installation went smoothly.

Only thing I'd suggest is the bolts supplied with the Tacoma Adapter kit did not thread easily into the receiving hole in the saddle. I had to use a vise to thread them first, but after that bolts were fine to install. Ensure you have a single allen wrench handy (provided with the original system) as it's a tight fit against the Tacoma sidewall. Driver and ratchet would not fit. Good experience with etrailer and Thule product.

This Xporter system is awesome. It's a great quality system and sufficiently easy to install. I get asked about it all the time. I use it to haul canoes and kayaks (using Yakima kayak saddles). 198259

I had an accident that split the bottom base of my Thule Xsporter 500 pickup truck rack on a Sunday night. I needed to use the rack the following Friday. I put in the order for a replacement base with Etrailer and received it on Thursday, in time to install and be ready for the Friday haul. Very good service. The reason I ordered a new base is the adjustment knob and spring corroded and were frozen. I live close to the ocean. Salt air does that.
