Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Thule replacement knob for your TracRac ladder racks. This is going to be an exact replacement from Thule, so you don't have to worry about fit or compatibility issues. It is going to replace one damaged knob on your TracRac rack. It is going to allow you to, once again, lock your load stops in place simply by twisting the knob, so that you can keep your ladders, lumber, and other cargo in place, and prevent it from moving around on you.
This is going to fit the TracRac SR sliding racks, as well as the TracRac G2 fixed mount ladder racks, the TracRac cantilever over-the-cab extension for your TracRac G2 sliding ladder racks, your TracRac G2 Camber headache racks, and your TracRac TracOne fixed mount ladder racks, and your TracRac UtilityRac sliding ladder racks.All of those are compatible with this knob. So if you are needing a new knob to keep those load stops in place, this is going to be the piece for you. And like I said, this is a Thule product, so you're not going to have to worry about it not fitting quite right. It is going to be exactly what you need. Great replacement product. Works right out of the bag.
Fits perfectly. Also, they have improved the end stop in that it fits through the hole now. One of the two was to replace a knob where the nylon tip had gone missing after I needed to remove the rear rack. It was then that I noted that the OEM part did not allow removing the knob with the tip. No doubt how it got lost.
The replacements are a new design so that there is less chance of losing the tip.
The other knob was used to replace a broken one.
Did not fit stud to small
I got two as a backup in case replacement is needed for some reason. Had a close call with one not wanting to loosen and thought I might have to drill it out. Got it loose but it was enough to realize a backup or two won't hurt.

seemed to have gone well installing pocket stake rubbers, bolts and used rack. cinsidering i had to cut rails from 8 ft to 6.5 and deal with fused nuts and bolts. it istalled in under an hour. no complaints besides it raining on me.
also bought the rack knobs. all are nice and work well

Fantastic good amount of tie downs very strong!
They were able to provide these replacement parts when the manufacturer didn’t and at a reasonable price.
Nice looking and compatible with the original knobs on my sliding TracRac. One knob out of 5 ordered had the white plastic tip missing and customer service graciously replaced the whole knob.

Bought these over a year ago and they perform like I just got them a week ago. e trailer is awesome.
Absolutely perfect and exactly what I ordered. Unfortunately, I needed the knobs which hold the load stops on the top of the rack. I went back once I realized I ordered wrong pieces but did not see the knobs with female thread in lieu of the ones I ordered which have the threaded male lugs. I thought I may be able to remove lugs but it seems the may be molded around lugs. Could you please let me know part number or send me a link to them so I can order 4. I’m fine with everything I ordered and will keep them as there are those who like to steal these parts.

If you have the load stop for the original Track ladder rack then you will need knob part # TAKB-90004.
Exactly as ordered.
I have to take away one star due to etrailer shipping the wrong item the first time and having to wait an extra week to receive the correct part. I ordered the Knobs that lock a TracRac in place on the mounting rail and was sent the Load Slide adjustment Knobs first. Both types of Knob look the same except the one I ordered have a Stud protruding from the bottom and the other ones don't. The Customer service reps were polite and corrected the mistake immediately. Good job.
The product is fine, however the originals only lasted approximately 2 years before having issues. The nylon stops/washers on the bottom fell off. One of the plastic handles cracked. This would be fine if they were inexpensive to replace. At this quality these should be considered disposable replaceable parts, and the cost of replacement should be much less.
I also need new ladder stops for the tracrac due to peeling surface finish and oxidation. These also are way overpriced for the tracrac version prior to Thule taking over. My rack is only 4 years old.
etrailer however did a fine job of order processing and delivering the product.
