Jeff: Today we're going to take a look at the Taylor Made black Tidy Ups boat fender adjuster for standard size rail. This black vinyl fender adjuster will snap over your standard size railing to easily hang your fender from the side of your boat. The line from your fender will go in this adjuster, underneath this brass roller. And when you let it go, the weight of the fender pulling down will lock that or pinch the line into place and hold your fender.Has a nice adjustable locking feature which'll allow you to move the fender as needed, to protect from any size dock or neighboring boat. Basically when your line goes underneath there and then it falls down to lock it, you can just pull up on your line and it'll raise that, and then you can pull up on the fender if you need to adjust it. If you need to let it go lower, just lift up on the roller, pull it down some, and again, let it go and it'll lock into place. It's a very simple design.
You unsnap it in the back here. It'll quickly snap onto a standard size railing to hold and adjust your boat fender. It fits standard size railing, so will fit rails up to 1 1/2" in diameter. It does hold lines up to 5/8" in diameter. And this is a nice black color, it's a flexible vinyl construction strap that will not damage your railing when it's installed.
And I just wanted to demo that.I happen to pull a 3/8" diameter rope that would attach to your fender, normally used on fenders. You can see the looped end is what'll attach to your fender, and then you'll take the open end. And again, after you open that, drop it onto the railing, twist it in place to lock the strap on. Then just take your open end, lift up on your brass roller, put it behind the brass roller and then just pull up on your rope, pull it as high as you need it. And then when you let it go, that roller will fall down, you can see.
Rolls down and unlocks or pinches it into place and holds it with the weight of the fender on there is what pulls down on that. And then again, if you needed to pull it higher, just go ahead and pull up on the rope more, let it go, and it'll lock it into place. If you need to lower it, you'll have to pull up on that and then lower it down and let it go. And then again, it will lock it into place. So it's a very easy adjustable feature, simple to use. What I would recommend on the end of this rope, the open end, you might want to tie a knot in there to keep it from falling through, for safety.
But that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made black Tidy Ups boat fender adjuster for the standard size rails..
