So we're going to take a quick look at the replacement plastic ladder rung end cap on a Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder.So if you cap got damaged or broke off, this is going to be a direct replacement for the ladder rung, to make sure that that edge doesn't have any sharp points to catch your clothes or catch any other items as you're using the ladder. Makes it a little bit safer to use.So get the plastic end cap to replace one side on one rung, and then the hardware to get that installed. We'll have our two smaller screws, and then the longer self-tapping screw to go in the center.And this is designed to use with the Stromberg Carlson Exterior RV Ladder, part number LA-401 or LA-401BA. So all you'll really need to get this installed is a Phillips head screwdriver. Should match up with all three of those screws, and you'll be back out on the road in no time.The cap from edge to edge measures about 2" long, and then about 1" wide. Stands about 5/8" deep, and then our longer bolt from bottom of the head to the end of the bolt is about 2".And that's going to do it for our look at the replacement plastic ladder rung end cap for the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder..

A very necessary part - many on our ladder were cracked. Expensive but not nearly as bad as replacing the whole ladder.

I was very happy to find this part a year ago. Etrailer is the only place I could find that has it. I ended up buying about eight or so. It did save me from scrapping my ladder. Unfortunately, the screws that come with the product are not the same as the originals: They rust. I wish I had known this before, I thought I was doing the right thing, throwing away all the old screws and replacing it with the new ones. Such a disappointment to utilize the rear of the coach only to be looking at rust stains.
I expect the plastic to last as long as the old ones before they crack; about 13 years.
I would say if you need it for safety; get it, but reuse your old screws.
The pictures show the etrailer oxidized screws and the original 14 year old screws non-oxidized.
2006 Sunseeker 2860DS ladder end caps needed replacing. Originals were stamped Kemberly. These were a perfect fit, bought 14 for all 7 rungs, so many were damaged.
Screws are pan head and the end caps counter sunk to fit perfectly. Main screw .25" longer than OEMs, side screws slightly longer than original too.
Using ladder with confidence again.
The end caps were hard to locate but as usual E-trailer had them. The end cap arrived complete as ordered and timely shipment. The items fit perfectly.
Your service was very good and quick. However, shipping had a problem. George indicated in an email that the delivery would be on Monday by 8pm. I just got it today, 3 days later. Not your fault as the post office fell down on their job. Fortunately I did get the parts before my departure tomorrow to Wyoming.
Used to replace failing end caps on my RV ladder apparently made by Kemberly Inc, of which I can not locate. The Stromberg Carlson are exact match except for the shorter screws, the new ones are slightly larger. I just used the old short screws instead of the new ones. Saved me from buying a new RV ladder
Parts fit perfectly
Bought these replacement parts for my 2008 Montana mountaineer rv ladder. Was climbing the ladder when I heard a pop and noticed a crack in the plastic. The replacement part works great, fit as expected. Bought a couple extra for the next one to go.

It is great
Replacement ladder rung end came quickly and installed easily with the provided new screw hardware. Works great and now I have a few more that are decomposing after 10 years of OEM service on my 2011 coach.

This item fits properly.
It seems to be made of plastic and I've had the ladder end caps for a year and seem to hold up. I am not sure if these will last as long as the original ones. I hated the screws included. They are black oxide dipped and will obviously start rusting soon after installation. I don't like the rust stains on my RV. I had to replace them with stainless steel screws. Overall, they are ok, but I couldn't find any to replace my old ones but these. Better than using the old ones. I sure wished they were machined aluminum.
These worked really Great. Old ones were counter sunk screw in end caps and over time the pressure will crack them and these are flat in which they will last longer. Thank you
This was a replacement for the same part that had failed on the ladder on my RV. So, it was a direct replacement and worked just as it was intended to work.

The parts were easy to install and fit perfectly. I took advice from others and reused the original screws. They said the replacement screws rust.
