Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be looking at the SeaSucker low-profile mount. So this is just going to be a single mount, you can use this to attach a variety of accessories and it utilizes SeaSucker's vacuum cups to mount to just about any kind of non-porous surface. So anything that's going to be nice and smooth this can mount onto. We'll have two different mounting inserts to use with some hardware or a slotted hole that you can use to hang maybe something with a hook from, so it gives you a lot of options for mounting anything that you'd want to that nice, smooth surface. To attach it, it's going to work just like any other SeaSucker accessory press down on the surface and then push in on that plunger until you don't see that orange band anymore. They also suggest using some water to moisten the cup before you get started.
I'm foregoing that step, but it is a good idea to do it because it's going to make it easier to take off your surface. And it also just helps to kind of make it easier for that cup to flatten out. It gives it something to kind of work with, but you can see that the cup flattens out nicely. Now, whenever it's installed the height from your surface is going to be about one and five eighths inches. There is another mount from SeaSucker that is very similar to this, but it's going to be just a regular mount and it's about one and three quarter inches tall. So just a little bit taller than this guy, hence the low-profile name.Again, we'll have our two inserts, those are going to be a quarter inch by 20 thread.
So that's going to be a coarse threaded quarter inch, so any bolts that are a quarter inch with course threads, it should work with these again, that slotted hole on the other side, that's going to allow you to use something like a hook, or you can maybe use something that's kind of at a T-shape to slide in that slot and then turn and hold in place. To remove this it's pretty easy, you just going to pull up on these tabs on either side to release the pressure and you'll know that the pressure is released whenever that plunger comes back out and you can see the orange again, there you go.I'll store my table away. This is a pretty easy to use system the thing that I really like about it is that it doesn't require any tools to mount this in place, and it also holds really, really strongly. Those vacuum cups have a very high pull rating of about 120 pounds. So it takes 120 pounds to pull this off, usually for a load capacity as far as what this can hold, it's about 40 pounds for the four and a half inch cup like this.
So really, really durable, should be able to hold up a lot of different stuff if you use these in tandem it'll increase that load carrying capacity. So this is a really nice accessory to mount all kinds of things, to just about any kind of surface. It is made in the USA, it does have a limited lifetime warranty. As far as what comes with it, you'll get a little tube of lubricant to keep everything working properly inside the mechanism, its like a little pump. Cover to go over our cup to keep that protected while it's in storage. And then some instructions with some troubleshooting and things like that.
That's pretty much all there is to it for this little guy, I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you, SeaSucker does have a lot of different kinds of accessories that all utilize that vacuum cup. So check those out right here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
