Video Transcript for Review of SeaSucker Marine Boat Accessories - Vacuum Mount - SS73FR

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the SeaSucker four and a half inch diameter Vacuum Mount with the Stainless Steel D-Ring. Now, this is a four and a half inch diameter vacuum cup. Comes with the stainless steel D-ring that'll let you hang or secure a variety of objects to a non-porous surface. This is a pump action vacuum cup.

It does create about 120 pounds pull strength without having to drill any holes or damage the surface that it's attached to. It will mount to most non-porous vertical or horizontal surfaces. Basically, the vacuum cup installs to metal, glass, fiberglass in seconds, just by simply pumping this plunger. And I do wanna demonstrate that. If you notice, I do have a different type of material on the table.

The table is very porous, so it wouldn't work on that. So I have this piece of metal that'll give you an idea of a non-porous surface, and how this attaches. So just to demonstrate, what you do is put it down, put a little pressure on it, and as you're putting pressure down on it, just go ahead and pump this plunger. And you'll notice, as you keep pumping this plunger, that orange stripe, or indicator stripe on the side, eventually disappears. Once that's disappeared, that means you've got the vacuum you need, and it's gonna give you strong connection point, as we said, 120 pounds of pull strength.

And then if you leave it on somewhere, and if you slowly lose a little air, let's say like, let me just try to give you a demonstration here. So if you lose a little air and that orange stripe starts showing again, just go ahead and pump it again to get the vacuum back build up in there and you're back to normal, just like that. Very strong. And then to remove, it makes it very simple. You have a tab over here, and one right here.

So if you just pull up on that tab like that, you see how it releases the air, and you're ready to take it and put it somewhere else, so it attaches or removes in seconds. If you notice on the very top, it has these slotted holes. These will let you hang or bolt a variety of objects. In the very middle, if you notice, there's a quarter inch by 20 size stainless steel threaded insert that'll let you also attach other SeaSucker products to this cup. The D-ring we mentioned is it's a V-shaped stainless steel D-ring. Lets you hang or secure items with no drilling required. Now, this cup is a hard plastic construction. It is lightweight, yet durable, only weighs about a half a pound. Does include this protective cover that when you're not using it, just put this cover over it, go ahead and push it in all the way around, and it'll stay connected to your vacuuming cup. And once it's fully installed, that'll protect that cup from any hardening or cracking any damage to it. You can see the cup is a black color. It is made in the USA. Again, we mentioned the pull rating on this is 120 pounds. I do want to give you the dimension, again, we keep mentioning it as four and a half inches. Just to show you that measurement, if we measure, there's your four and a half inch measurement. Also the D-ring width, when you hold up this D-ring, the measurement on that, about two and a half inches, the width on the D-ring. And again, just to demonstrate, quick demonstration, put a little pressure down, start pumping your plunger. You'll notice the orange eventually goes out, you're all attached, ready to go. Simple as that. And to remove it, just pull up on it, put your cover back on, and then you're ready for your next attachment. But that should do it for the review on this SeaSucker four and a half inch diameter Vacuum Mount with the Stainless Steel D-Ring.

These are the real deal at a reasonable price. The suction is phenomenal. I use them to limit flexing of a bike rack on a travel trailer.
