Video Transcript for Review of SeaSucker Marine Boat Accessories - Rubber Clamp with Vacuum Mount - SS86FR

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the replacement rubber clamp. This is going to allow you to attach a lot of different items on your boat and have an easy way to stash them away. The SeaSucker System is a pretty unique way to attach anything to any other kind of surface. So it uses this vacuum cup, this is different than a normal suction cup, because it's actually going to actively pump out the air from behind the cup to make sure that it has a really tight grip on the surface you're mounting it to it, does this without causing any kind of damage to it. It's not going to scuff or scratch the surface. It's just going to have a really nice, strong attachment.

It can pull a little bit hard on some surfaces, so if it's a really thin material or something, that's not very durable, it can cause a little bit of puckering, but typically any kind of car surface, glass metal, anything like that, it really doesn't have any issues with it.I've used a lot of their products and they're pretty cool and they're pretty fun to use. So let's take a little closer look at this guy and see if it's going to be the right one for you. The way it's going to work is you're going to put this in place and then suction it down using the lever there. Once this orange band is no longer visible, you'll know that it has complete suction and it's all the way tightened down. I'm just putting this on my table here so I don't think I'm going to be able to get any kind of suction.

You want it to be on a non porous surface and since my table has paper on it, it's just not going to create that seal. It also helps to wet this cup before you use it as well to create that barrier between this and the surface or that extra sealing layer. The clamp on the top is going to allow you to attach a lot of different stuff. So you can use this for storing or transporting any kind of longer things like gaffes, nets, push poles, and anything else that will fit into that circular opening. You'll have a couple of different options as far as how tight you can get that around them.

So pretty narrow open there. This is an easy way to transport those around. As far as the size of the cup; it's about four and a half inches. The cup itself has a pull rating of 120 pounds. So that means that if you try to pull this off, you would have to use 120 pounds of force. It has a weight capacity.

So, if you're installing it like this, of about 45 pounds of weight to actually be pulling on it all the time. This rubber clamp can fit anything from an inch in diameter, up to an inch and fifteen 16th's, or just shy of two inches. The overall weight for this is about a pound and half. It does come with a little lube tube. So that's just a lubricant that can be used for a couple of different things to lubricate the inner workings of that vacuum pump. You can also use it to repair any kind of cracking in the vacuum cup itself. Should last you a long time. And then it's also got a cap to keep that safe from any kind of dirt and debris from getting in there and also helps to prevent that cup from drying out. It is covered by a limited lifetime warranty and made in the USA. And that's really about going to do it for our look at the rubber clamp for your suction cup mount. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you. We do have a lot of other accessories from SeaSucker for all kinds of applications. So check them out right here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
