Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the MC4 Y-Adapter Parallel Cables for the Redarc Solar Panels. Now, these MC4 cables will let your wire a Redarc Monocrystalline Solar Panel or the portable solar panels in parallel. Connecting two identical panels with the same wattage in parallel will multiply the total output current by two, and keep the system voltage at the same level. Now, this MC4 solar connector kit provides all the components that are needed to make one MC4 connection. It'll connect two positive and two negative cables from two solar panels into one positive and one negative output for parallel connection to a regulator.

Now, the cable length on these is about 11.8 inches, so just under 12 inches. Now, I do wanna demonstrate. I happen to pull a 50 watt Monocrystalline Solar Panel right here that we do sell. Now, I only have one of these in stock, so I won't be able to show you how to connect two, but basically, just to explain, if you noticed, on the back of this panel, it has a positive connection and a negative connection, and your other panel be the same way. So if you take these wire adapters, what you could do is take your positive connection and you push it into there and make your connection, and then with your other one, connect that to the positive on the other panel, and it'll reduce it down to one positive connection, and you'll do the same with the negative.

You'll take the negative connection, push it in there, gives you the other negative connection that you'll make to the other solar panel, and it reduces it down to one negative connection. So there you've taken two panels and reduce it down to a positive and a negative output. And then you just push it in and they'll disconnect, pretty simple. Same way on here.
