Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here @etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the right angle plug for your wiring or for your lights. This is going to be an easy way to get your incandescent or LED lights wired up on your trailer. It's just gonna be this little two-prong plug. It's a pretty industry standard plug for just about any lights out there.
A lot of them are gonna use the same configuration. Some of these plugs will come out at a downward angle. This one's gonna be a right angle out to the side. So just kind of works better for more close quarters or tight clearances for your trailer. So you can see just this little guy, we'll have our two leads coming off of there.
It's gonna be our black wire for power and then white wire for ground. That just pushes into the back of a light, or the LED I have here today. I wanna make sure that that seats all the way down in to the light. So it doesn't come apart while you're out on the road.You can see it sits down in there really nice and flush. And then you just connect your wiring again.
Power to black wire and ground goes to the white wire. And I'll turn my power source on. Lights on. So, pretty straight forward. Just makes life a little bit easier.
These can be switched out pretty easily if something happens rather than having to take apart all the wiring of your trailer. So it kind of becomes a more modular system rather than having to run one single wire all the way down. Again, the leads off of this, they're going to be six inches long. So not super long, but enough that you should be able to get connected to the rest of your wires. Does come with a ring terminal already spliced onto the ground end.That's a number 10 ring terminal. So, number 10 screw should fit that just fine. It is made in the USA. And that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Peterson two wire pigtail. - Mounting Bracket and Wiring Harness for Peterson Clearance Light # M150RThe chrome base part # 150-10 is correct for the clearance light part # M150R and you will need a wiring harness for the light assembly as well like with part # 142-49 and you'd be set!

But the way it should go is you first insert the PVC Grommet # 142-18, and then push in the Peterson Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light # M143A. You can actually see this in action at about the 2:20 mark or so of the video I linked for you. It is possible you may need to enlarge the hole ever so slightly if the problem is it isn't quite large enough for the grommet and light.
