Today we're going to take a look at the Peterson right angle, two wire, marker light plug. This is going to be a female plug with a six inch lead. This is going to allow us to plug into our Peterson lights. It's going to work with the 152, 153, and 154 as well as the 161 series lights. As you can see we'll have our female terminals there. It's going to match up to the male terminals on our light. This I'm just using as an example.
This is going to be the 161 series light. Again, it does not come with the plug, but if you need any lights to go with your plug, you can find a lot of options here at etrailer.com. Just browse around and you should find something to work for you.As you heard, that's just going to snap into place and provide that wiring function for our light. Our white wire with the ring terminal, that's going to be our ground wire. It has that number ten ring terminal there.
And then the black wire will be our power. So, hook this up to our power source here, you can see how that works. And it's going to power our light. So, pretty easy to get that connected. That female molded plastic plug just connects to the back of our trailer light. The nice thing about this design is, it's going to be at that right angle, so it means it's going to be a little easier to mount our light in a more flush design, without having that plug coming straight out and making it a little harder to get connected.
You don't have to worry about bending the wires out of the way, causing any kinks or damage there. It's already going to be at that right angle, so we can have our wires running off to the side or down or whatever configuration we need our light to be.To remove that plug, you just have to pry it gently from the back there. You don't want to pull from the wires themselves. Something I like is, they actually put a little bit of dielectric grease in those terminals. Never a bad idea to have a little bit of extra.
We also have dielectric grease available here at etrailer.com. Never a bad idea to pick that up as well, especially for any kind of trailer wiring or wiring in general. As you can see, we have six inches of wire coming off the back of our plug, so it should be enough lead to get our connections made. One last thing I want to mention is that this product is made in the U.S.A. And that's going to do it for our look at the Peterson right angle, two wire, market light plug with a female end and a six inch wire lead.
