Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
PC-Rated Lights
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.
Surface-Mount Light
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

- Availability of LED Clearance Lights That Replace the Peterson Rectangular Light # M152AYou are right that the Peterson Rectangular Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light # M152A is incandescent. For an LED alternative we have the Optronics Mini Thin Line Sealed LED Marker/Clearance Light # AL82AB which has the same dimensions as the Peterson option, it is waterproof, and it has a simple 2-wire design for easy installation. The black wire is for power and the white wire is for ground. I have attached a review video as well as an installation video that you can reference...
view full answer... - Replacing A Peterson 343A Side Marker LightThough we do not carry the replacement Peterson 343A light the closest replacement option that we have is The LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light # MCL0032ABB.The light is 4 inches long by 2 inches tall by 1 inch thick. The distance between the mounting holes is 3 inches on center. So you will have to drill new holes for the new light. The light has a durable acrylic snap-on lens and a black ABS housing. If you are looking for the plastic base we do not carry that particular model and in that case I recommend switching to light # A91AB and using bracket # A91BB with power wire # A91LW (the light grounds through one of the mounting screws with this light and bracket combination).
