Replacement Control Plate for MaxxFan Roof Vent

Not trailers fault. This is the third one i have had to change in 6 years. Pitiful. They warp then the plastic cracks. Also I used to be able to purchase at local RV store but now you are the only one I could find etrailer did fine and sent the part out in good shape ( wish I could say the same for Maxxair ).1692988

I have two of these installed in our stepvan - they were one of the first things we installed during the build process, and thank goodness we did because they kept us cooler during the summer build. Easy to use, the multiple-fan settings are nice, and the exhaust feature can pull a lot of air. We don't have AC, so these fans make a huge difference in pulling out hot air and replacing with outside air. Great service from etrailer - I ordered the wrong fan the first time and they were great to work with in getting another shipped out to me.1372898

Installed this 15 months ago, worked pretty well, bearings make some noise, and fan has slight wobble, but worse-off, just this week began to turn on by itself, and via the control panel would sometimes turn off when I pressed the power button, but most buttons just don't do anything when pressed. I had to disconnect the power, then re-connect, and, at first, it would be okay, but now it just stays on at a high speed when connected to power and unable to change anything on it, power, speed, direction.

This roof vent is a real game changer for us. It allows us to open and vent our teardrop, even in the rain. Design is sleek. Lock works well. Fan is excellent and quiet.1713300

Negative first. BEWARE, the "white" lid on this fan is opaque, not translucent. It says neither of these words on the product page. I assumed it was translucent like every other white lid I've seen in person, and I got that thing well glued and screwed before I realized my bathroom is now a cave. If you want the cave look, or pick the "smoke" option, it's a good unit otherwise. The fan performs very well. It has extremely strong suction. Also, it's very quiet and when running, the blades visually disappear and overall it's a good looking design. Control is simple, but a little confusing at first with the dedicated off button (as opposed to off being included in the speed cycles). Side note, the suction is so good, I now know that I have a vapor leak from my black tank... Fun times.1773324

I purchased this maxxfan to replace the roof vent unit that came on our camper. This new vent fan is whisper quiet and best of all it can remain open while its raining. The install was easy and it fit the original hole perfectly. Used the TremPro 644 sealant also sold by etrailer and the install came out perfect. Great product. I especially like the thermostatic setting. I feel that for something like this fan, a remote control is just not practical. Too easy to lose and if the trailer doesn't get used for the entire Winter, it's a good possibility that the batteries in it will die and leak.1751887

I've had the fan in for a season, and a couple southern road trips. Generally happy.
It will run "all night" with no problems on the stock dual batteries in my Ford Transit passenger van.
Didn't spring for the remote and maybe would the next time. the controls are bit small, hard to reach, a touch confusing for groggy, middle of the night changes.
Fan is quiet and efficient but even on high, directly over the bed, it's not going to bath you with sweat drying air movement. Quality seems good, I installed with an aftermarket, designed for the transit roof profile, ring, it went well. I painted the interior trim with gray "for plastic" rattle can paint to match the Transit ceiling and that is good stuff, it held up well to multiple on offs while getting the install just right". I also brush painted elastomeric white roof coating over the exterior caulk and and mounting screws, zero leaks so far.641357

I love these fans. When I bought a caravan I removed the fantastic fan for one of these because it can be left open when it rains....I rarely ever closed it just so I had airflow in the caravan. Now I have a van, installed it for the same reason. Expensive, but worth it in the long run. I wish they offered a non translucent top model.662099

We really like this MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent model 05100K. The rain vent works as advertised, the 10-speed fan can either bring fresh air into the camper, or reversed can exhaust air from the camper. The construction quality is great. It is installed on our RV.

I purchased this MaxxAir MaxxFan to replace a stock vent/fan that came on my teardrop camper. The most important thing to me was that the fan was quiet as it is only about 4 feet away while sleeping. This fan is so quiet that I can barely hear it on low and on high we can talk in normal tones and hear the television over it just fine. With the stock fan on we could not hear the TV even with the volume at max and could barely stand to leave it on while sleeping. The sleek profile actually adds style to the teardrop. My second hope is that it moves enough air that we won't need to use A/C - so far so good, this fan moves so much air that my curtains go sideways (and can still hear crickets outside) and the 10 speeds let me get it just perfect. Auto on at 78 degrees, reversible, ceiling fan... all nice bonuses. 100% satisfied with this product - Follow the directions, install is relatively easy, solid product. Hardest part for me was correcting the original opening which was not square. I used an oscillating tool to cut the inside shroud down, it was pretty quick but left some cleanup, not sure if it was ultimately any easier than using the prescribed hacksaw.561667
