Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the replacement magnetic door sensor for your Kwikee Electric RV Steps. Now folks, these do replace the door sensor tabs for your Kwikee Electronic RV Steps. You're gonna get two round tabs. One is wired and the mounting plate as well. It's a simple plastic construction.
Length of the wires here is 19 inches long, and the rest of the dimensions, I'll throw up on the screen here for you. It is made here in the USA and the round sensor tabs simply mount to your RV door and door frame, and then they wire to the steps to stop retraction when they touch. The part I needed was not available. They suggested a part they had on hand as a substitute. I purchased the part they had on hand. Through a small modification I was able to use it and it works great. Thanks , your customer service is awesome and their knowledge is super . After locating the substitute ,they informed me what they had , I received in just a few days . I would recommend them anyone

- Magnetic Door Switch for Kwikee RV Steps that is Normally ClosedThe "normal" part of the normally open or normally closed wording in the switch descriptions has to do with which condition the circuit needs to be in for the step to close. Since when you opened the circuit the step finally retracted that means the switch setup you have is normally closed. So for a replacement switch you'd need the # LC379400.

Your circuits most likely will be white but do know that different manufacturers do not always accept the color standards so you can check your wiring to determine if they are an open or closed circuit....
