Overall, the unit works well. The included DC fuse board had fewer slots than the original board with the trailer and did not appear to be as robust. As a result, I left the original fuse board in place. The charger works very well to charge my lithium batteries. The fans are considerably quieter on this charge converter than the originally unit. I am pleased with how it has performed so far.
We purchased this for the purpose of converting to lithium batteries. Although the converter will take the batteries to 14.4 volts, it does not drop to the recommended float voltage of 13.6. When we called Progressive their tech support advised that we should disconnect the battery from the converter after the battery reaches full charge to avoid damaging the battery. This is not a multi stage charger for lithium.
It is however, a drop in replacement that was "easy" to install.
Everything worked great to replace the old Parallax converter in my 2003 Airstream. This new converter had very thorough step by step instructions. etrailer had a very good price and free shipping.
As far as the product goes, everything I have read indicates this converter will be superior to the original. Unfortunately I made the mistake of using your advertised free shipping. To make matter's worse, I called etrailer 3 different times concerning the delay in shipping and got virtually the same response that all 3 times that etrailer is aware of shipping problems with USPS. So my comment is that I will be looking elsewhere first with future purchases.
This converter solved the problem of overcharged batteries as it goes into maintenance mode once the batteries reach full charge. Only issue I had was that the holes in the frame did not match the holes in the enclosure. Otherwise a perfect fit with very clear instructions.
Exactly what I needed - installation reasonably straightforward and it works great with my new lithium batteries!
Product worked perfectly and arrived early. I know where I'm going next time i need anything else for my camper, rv, or trailer.

The product was exactly what i needed. 1 year and everything keeps working fine. Great products. It was very easy to install. Easy to follow instructions.
The distribution panel was just as described and was easily installed. The directions were great and easy to follow. This unit replaced the Parallax 7355 perfectly. I like the charging wizard feature that the Parallax does not have.
Replaced the existing distribution panel in my Thor Vegas motor home with this PD4655 to enable the use of lithium house batteries. The product was shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived a couple of days later in perfect condition. The installation instructions were easy to follow and everything fit as advertised for replacing the WFCO 8955.
I installed this a year ago and it's still working great. Perfect replacement for my camper power panel.

I purchased this product to replace a failed Parallax 7155 converter on my 2017 Casita Freedom Deluxe RV trailer. Delivery was prompt, the price was reasonable, and installation was straight forward - maybe the fact that I am an electrical contractor helped! Installation took about two hours, but I was hampered by the tight location of the power center, and I had to lengthen the factory (Casita) battery wires.
After double checking the installation, 120 volt power was applied and the converter worked as expected. How long will it last? Only time will tell.
Etrailer had the recommended replacement power inverter for my RV which fit exactly as stated. Directions were easy to follow and installed in an hour and a half.
Very solid and works like a champ. So far no issue. Miles away from what comes with the original.

Works great after a year of purchase. Probably voided the warranty installing the converter but that’s okay because it’s a solid product. The install could go two ways, (1) cut the cabinet to fit the new inverter box or (2) gut the old converter box and install the new converter in that box. Tools required are a rivet gun and drilling out rivets. Basic electrical and D/C knowledge is required. It has good enough directions that if you meet these requirements you can do it yourself. Full timer RVer here and everything is working perfectly. I give it 4 stars because it’s not a direct replacement, but none of them are. etrailer has great service and technical support.

I reached out to the manufacturer and was advised that it shouldnt void the warranty. The 4655 was designed to replace several different converter models and some of them you would need to remove the circuit board from the housing to install.

The converter is still working fine. I installed a 12 vdc jack on the side of the trailer at the battery compartment and keep a 12 volt automatic trickle charger plugging when not in use. By doing this, the converter is bypassed and not used to keep the battery charged when the trailer is in storage. I feel this will prolong the life of both the converter and the battery.
