Worked very well with the 1/4" metal loom clamp, item #A0250 to keep the power wire for the Tow Ready Trailer Wiring in place and away from moving parts

by:

This was recommended in another comment by an etrailer employee to use to attach part # BK70BB - Trailer Light Mounting Bracket to the curt cargo carrier. These screws were way too small for that usage. I ended up using some 1/4 inch self-drilling screws that I had and added these to my stash.

I agree with Rick, these screws DO NOT fit part BK70BB - Trailer Light Mounting Bracket

Products arrived quickly and were exactly what we ordered for rewiring our trailer as follows: 35 ft 4-way trailer wiring harness with 42" ground wire; metal loom clamps; wire loom and hex screws with wash heads. This company has a very good selection with good prices and economy shipping.

My brother and I purchased suspension parts, brake kits, wiring kit, led lights and other accessories for are car trailer. Great products, will by from etrailer again.

by:

Ordered several towing and cargo products for a pending trip in 4 days! Great communication from the eTrailer team (George and Jamie) on delivery dates, etc. One product was not available in the warehouse, but eTrailer contacted the mfr and had them drop ship with express delivery to meet my timing needs. Really no effort on my part to get this great service -- just seems to be the way they operate. I keep ordering from them, and they keep exceeding expectations. Way to go! A+++

by:

These screws were recommended by etrailer and worked perfectly for mounting hose clamps on the underbody of our minivan!

  • Recommended Mounting Hardware For The Optronics Clearance Lights MC44AB1
For mounting a clearance light I recommend using a few self tapping screws. Preferably a # 10 or # 8 screw like the # 101131802. You will also want some butyl tape # QR59FR, to weatherproof the screw holes. Hardware for these is basically generic and it really comes down to what surface you are mounting to. Optronics does not sell a hardware kit specifically for the # MCL44AB1 or # MCL44RB1.

  • How to Wire a Trailer for Tail Lights
First, lets make sure you have all of the parts you need to wire a trailer for lights. If you have an old trailer and want to replace everything, I recommend using a kit like our Optronics Tail Light Kit, # TL29BK and our trailer wiring installation kit # HM51020. We also have an LED kit, # TLL9RK. Step 1 - The trailer connector should extend 2 - 3 feet past the tongue. Attach the ground wire directly to the tongue of the trailer using a self tapping screw # 101131802 and a ring terminal...

  • Availability of Self-Tapping Screws
We offer two sizes of self-tapping button- (or washer-) head screws. Part # FA1131822 has an unslotted hex head and is 1/4 -14 x 3/4-inch long threads. Part # 101131802 is # 8 x 1/2-inch long.

  • Why Do Trailer Lights Flicker When Hitting Bumps
In order to fix the issue with your lights flickering you will want to pick a good spot on the trailer frame near the coupler and then run a ground wire from each of the lights as well as the trailer connector to this point. If you need to extend the wires you can use part # DW02359-1 and part # DW05744-5. Once you find a good ground point, sand the surface down, twist the wires together after you have removed part of the jacket, and then attach it to the sanded surface with part # DW05741-1...

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring For 1995 Ranger 690T Boat Trailer
I did some research and found that your boat is 18-ft 9-inches long. You did not say if your trailer has brakes included which will make a difference when installing the wiring. If you do not have brakes on the trailer and you only need wiring for the lights I recommend part # A35W42B. This is a 35-ft long harness and it has a 4-way flat trailer connector included. This is a wishbone harness that means the running light is split at the connector and the brown running light wire is run...

  • Installing Electric Brakes on a Vehicle Tow Dolly
You have a 3500 pound axle, with a 4-bolt axle flange, spaced 4” apart each. You also have tires and wheels with a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. To put brakes on your West Texas Dolly # WTD-35D you will need a left and right trailer brake kit like the etrailer # AKEBRK-35 rated for 3,500 pounds, and 10” x 2-1/4” brake pads. Mounting bolts are included but nuts and lock washers # BRKH10B are not. If it were me I would purchase the etrailer # AKEBRK-35-SA self adjusting brakes so that I would...

  • Installing a Brake Controller in 2001 Toyota Tacoma
Based on my research, the 2001 Toyota Tacoma did not come with a factory trailer connector. However, since you already have a 4-way connector installed on your truck, you will be able to start here for your brake controller installation. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller with a digital display. It will level automatically when mounted within a 360-degree vertical range. The brake controller installs in your Tacoma...

To replace the self-tapping screw used for the ground wire with the T-One Wiring Kit # C56331 you'll need part # 101131802. Be sure to use a 3/32" drill bit to drill out a starter hole prior to installing the screw.

  • How to Connect the Ground Wire on a 4-Way Flat Wiring Harness
The Hopkins Endurance 4-way Flat Trailer End Connector, # HM48110, that you referenced is the harness that goes on a trailer, not a vehicle. The 4-way connector for your vehicle is the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Vehicle End Connector, # HM48030. You can connect the white ground wire from the wiring harness to a vehicle ground, but you should verify that the white wire on your vehicle is in fact a ground wire. In most cases the white wire from the wiring harness is attached to a clean,...

Green tow package wire connects to green 4-pole wire Yellow tow package wire connects to yellow 4-pole wire Brown tow package wire connects to brown 4-pole wire White 4 pole wire could connect to the frame of the vehicle, using a ring terminal like # DW05736-1 and a self tapping...

  • Does LED Trailer Fender Clearance Light Need a Ground Wire That Goes to Wiring Box?
You do not have to connect the ground wire of the LED Trailer Fender Clearance Light # MCL180ARB to your main ground that goes to the wiring box. What you can do is use a ring terminal such as # 44-5310A and screw like # 101131802 and ground it to your trailer frame close to where the light is.

  • How Do I Re-Wire My Pop-Up Trailer To A 4-Pole Trailer Connector? They
In order to wire your pop-up trailer with a 4-pole wiring harness like the 35 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness - Wishbone Style # A35W42B, you're going to first have to: 1. Connect the white ground wire to your trailer's frame. You'll want to make sure that the spot you choose for grounding is a clean, bare, surface that is free from rust. You'll use the already attached ring terminal, as well as a self-tapping screw # 101131802. Before you secure your ground wire, be sure to leave the...

The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Toyota and Lexus # 3040-P does have the separate white ground wire with ring terminal. It is to be connected to a bolt that connects to a bare metal surface. You may want to simply use a sheet metal screw like # 101131802. I've attached a couple videos to assist.

You can use a standard 5-pole trailer connector, you'll just need to wire it a certain way. The # HM47900 you referenced is the vehicle side connector, you need the trailer side connector like part # HM47910, which would wire as shown in the provided photo. The red wire you mention is for the reverse lockout on the trailer coupler, and is tied in with the reverse lamp circuit of the vehicle. Both brown wires would connect to the brown wire of the trailer connector. The yellow and green...

  • Lights And Accessories for Using Curt # C18153 Cargo Carrier on 2014 Chevy Suburban
The only difference between the two anti-rattle hitch locks you referenced is that the # 63232 is for 2 inch receivers and the # SHP2040-XL is for 2-1/2 inch receivers. Since your Suburban has the 2 inch receiver, you'd need the # 63232. If the 4 pole on your Suburban is fixed in place on the bumper, I'd recommend the # 9653P extension. The Curt # C18151 you're referring to isn't specifically designed for a light kit, so they're aren't any pre-drilled holes on the carrier to mount a taillight...

Start with Wiring Kit # 5506, which has 25' of wire, 20-, 30- and 40-amp circuit breakers, butt connectors and ring terminals. • Can 2 LED Domed Utility/Multipurpose Lights Light Up a 24 Foot Box Truck
The utility light # ILL24CB has 36 diodes so it will be on the bright side. Two of them will probably provide a decent amount of light but 3 would be better especially if light is essential. Attaching the lights to the ceiling using a high grade automotive type of double-sided tape would suffice. What I recommend is to use self-taping screws, like # 101131802, so you will not have to drill and then just seal the holes with a sealant like # 0160297. It would be best to attach screws to...

  • Can a Trailer with Hydraulic Brakes Have Electric Brakes Installed
It's actually not too difficult to swap out your hydraulic brakes with electric brakes.
