Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this CE Smith 6 inch long, 1/2 inch diameter Heavy Duty Hex Screw with the yellow zinc finish. Now this is a Grade 8 steel hex head screw which is heavy duty. We mentioned has the yellow zinc finish which makes it durable and corrosion resistant. And then just give you a few measurements on this.
We mentioned the length of the screw is 6 inches, and the length is always measured from under the head to the end. So if we put a ruler on that, just to show you, there's your 6 inch measurement. Now the thread length of just the threads right at 1 3/8 inches. The thread size on this is 1/2 inch by 13 cores thread, and the hex head size or socket that'll fit on this is a 3/4 inch. And, again, the diameter we mentioned is 1/2 an inch.
