Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement inner slide assembly with the 2-5/16 inch coupler for the Dexter brake actuators. Has a 20,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this part here will replace a damaged inner slide assembly and coupler that's on your Dexter Model 20 Actuator. This inner slide is part of the surge brake system.
That'll slide back into the outer case of the actuator when your tow vehicle slows down or stops, and it helps apply the pressure to the master cylinder to apply the brakes on your trailer. Up front here, you can see it's designed to attach to a 2-5/16 inch diameter hitch ball on your tow vehicle. And to show you how that connects, I happen to pull a 2-5/16 diameter hitch ball just to show you. And to connect it, you just pull open the latch just like that, and then you drop that right over the ball, release your latch back down until it hooks into place and you're connected and you can see you're hooked up, all ready to go. And then when you're disconnecting again, just pull up on that latch, lift it up off the ball and it'll disconnect from the ball.
And then again, push your latch back into the closed position. This does have a nice prime finish on it. Again, this application is for Dexter or Titan 20,000 pound brake actuator. We mentioned the ball size it connects to is 2-5/16 inches. Overall length on this, from the very back to the very front, if we get a tape measure is gonna be right at 21-3/4 inches.
And then this tongue portion, it's inner slide that slides into the outer case, measurement on that width is gonna be 3-1/4 inches wide. And the overall height bottom to the top right at 4-1/2 inches tall. But that should do it for the review on this replacement inner slide assembly with the 2-5/16 inch coupler for the Dexter brake actuators.
