I ordered this lower wattage heating element in order to free up wattage to use elsewhere. We don’t notice a difference in performance. We used the trailer heavily this past summer due to a home kitchen remote. Still going strong.

Its still working well, meeting all expectations. The lower wattage gives me more flexibility in electrical load without worrying about tripping the breaker.

This element is being used to heat a waste oil tank for my aluminum melting furnace. It's low current draw at around 6 amps, allows the use of a standard extension cord and regular 15 amp 110v outlet to drive it and the blower fan.
It heats 5 gal of waste oil to 130 deg in a little over 30 minutes, and holds the temperature consistent all day. It works well for my purpose.

Still going strong. I couldnt be more pleased.

I'm glad someplace has this lower wattage (1000W) heating element for my RV. some websites advertised the same wattage, but when I tried to order, the specifications listing was changed to 1500W. They just didn't seem to care to bother to be accurate, even though the main ad the search engine came up with was saying 1000W. It was worth the extra money to get the correct wattage element from you folks. Before ordering on the internet I went to or called local RV and plumbing supply wholesalers and checked other stores, etc. They all couldn't even order such a low Wattage element. At an RV park, I want to be operating a few electrical device s simultaneously while the water heater is doing its heating; instead of turning-off whatever appliance(s), so thankyou for having stock of this item. I bought an extra for replacement later. should be good for about 10 years total.

Works great.

by:

This was the perfect solution to our valve heaters drawing to much wattage. We needed a 1000 watt element and this one was a direct replacement for the 1500 watt units we had.

by:

Recieved exactly what i ordered. My cabin generator would not handle a 1500 watt water heater element so i ordered a 1000 watt element. Problem solved.

by:

I order a water heater element from etrailer and it arrived in a few days. Great service. Thank you..

by:

Exactly what I needed. Customer service was excellent.

Product is just as advertised, shipped quick, and the communication with the vendor was excellent. I’ll certainly return.

  • How is Atwood RV Water Heater Element Normally Replaced
On your model Atwood Water Heater GC6AA-10E, the electric heating element, like # CAM02103, is located in the water tank in the back side of the water heater. The heater will have to be pull out of the RV to replace the unit. I wish there was an easy way to do this in all applications but that's not always possible. Atwood recommends having an RV repair shop do the repair because of the intensive labor involved in replacing the element.

The correct replacement water heater element for your model GC6AA-10E Atwood water heater is # AT92249. The element is going to be on the back of your heater. I've attached a diagram to assist because the element is located under a cover. There should be a panel on your RV that will give you at least partial access to this area. If you are uncomfortable with the install though you should find a local installer to help.

  • Troubleshooting Atwood RV Water Heater Functional on Propane but Not Electric
According to Dometic, the company that purchased the water heater division of Atwood, there's one of three problems that could be occurring here. The circuit board, the relay or the element could be bad. With the electric turned on, test the yellow wire leaving the circuit board. If there's no power on it, the board is bad and should be replaced. Then check the wires leaving the relay. If there's no power on there, the relay is bad. Then, check the wires leading to the heating element....
