As always etrailer makes it easy. Competitive prices and shipping; quick service, easy website.

by:

The heating element works very well. Easy to replace.

by:

Just what I needed to get my electric water distiller running again!

by:

I installed this in my camper and had hot water in less than a half hour. The customer service was amazing. This element wasn’t in stock so they made suggestions for different t ones. I decided to wait and they sent me emails letting me know they were keeping an eye on arrival and then when it shipped to me.

by:

Fits perfectly and is just what we needed after forgetting to turn the bypass valves after winterizing and turning the water heater on. Just another example of OA(old age).

by:

Worked as advertised

by:

This was the exact replacement for the element that was in my Suburban water heater. Installation was easy with a few household tools and a 1 1/2 inch element wrench.

Heat element is working great One year later.

by:

Good product and fast service! I get all my RV parts at trailer.

by:

Friendly and fast and reasonably priced

by:

Was sold as a replacement for my SW6DE however is much smaller than the original. I wish etrailer stocked the correct replacement, which you can find by searching for "Suburban 520900" which is an 11" 1440 Watt element, vs this 6" 1500W element.

by:

I had a dumbass attack one day and thought I had water in the water heater. NOPE! I still had the gas side, but I like running both when I'm going to shower. Recovers faster. Anyway, yes, this item went in easy and is still working fine. I will never turn on the heater again unless I KNOW there's water in it!

by:

old one died

by:

Looks great. Just got it. Haven't installed it yet.

by:

Exactly what I needed, perfect fit. Got my water heater back up and running.

by:

I installed it in my Atwood 6 galons tank. I added teflon tape to prevent galvanic corrosion on the thread.

My tank is aluminum and have no sacrificial anode. The element act as one.

My question is will this Camco element act as a sacrificial rod,I hope it will.

by:

Direct replacement for Suburban water heaters. Was shorter in length than the original but works just as well. Fast delivery and great service from etrailer.

by:

Service couldn't have been quicker. Very helpful on the phone. Everything I ordered was top quality, water heater element tool is heavy duty. Element was super tight but not a problem. Haven't used heater element yet but not worried. Etrailer is tops on my list.

by:

Excellent direct replacement. I checked the local dealer and they were charging four times more for their off brand replacement. Thanks eTrailer!!!

by:

Perfect. And an easy installation.

Still good, as it should.

by:

etrailer is always a great resource to get just what I need quickly. I have ordered from them multiple times and talked to someone on the phone several times as well. The customer service has always been top tier

by:

Still working after a year.
Also I now
remember to turn the circuit breaker off before draining the tank. :P

by:

Product worked as advertised. Less than half an hour to install. Glad I bought the install tool to replace the heating element as I'm not sure my socket would have fit through the sheet metal hole around the heating element plus I will have it in the camper if I have to use it again in the future.

by:

Great replacement for a camper dual water heater

by:

Product fit and works although the element is substantially shorter than the original part that it replaces. Also, it would be a better design if the socket sholder used to tighten/loosen were taller (more substantial), but is the same as the original. Time will tell as to it's performance.

by:

Worked great and was a direct replacement. Still in service

  • Replacing Water Heater Element on Atwood GC10A-4E Water Heater
The heating element on your Atwood model GC10A-4E water heater (our part # AT94022) should be on the backside of the unit, towards the bottom of the tank. It will actually be behind the gas line assembly, which will need to be loosened and moved out of the way to gain access to the existing element so it can be removed or replaced. I have attached an image to assist. If you need a replacement heating element you can use the Camco # CAM02143.

  • Finding Water Heater Element in 2004 Jayco Jayfeather 27P
There should be a panel on the outside of your 2004 Jayco Jayfeather 27P on the back passenger side of the RV that you can open and see the water heater. I don't have a way to know for sure what water heater you have but in general the element is near the center and towards the bottom of the water heater. A lot of times it's behind a gas pipe fitting or two as well. I attached a picture that points out the area on a similar Atwood water heater since I don't know which exact model you have.

  • Does It Matter Which Wire Goes Where When Installing the Camco Water Heater Element
The Camco Water Heater Element part # CAM02143 has two terminals, one for power and one for ground. That said, it does not matter which wire goes on which terminal as they are non polarity specific meaning you can switch the positive and negative wire without issue. If you are asking which color wire has which function on your specific water heater then I would need to know the make and model in order to provide this. However, if you just find the two wires on the water heater that go to...
